Pulmonary Hypertension
Dear All, I am hoping that someone can advise or point me in the right direction with regard to symptoms that I have been experiencing for over 12 months. I have a history of Pulmonary Embolisms (4 in total over the years) and DVT's in my right calf. Following my latest episode of PE in November 2014

General anaesthesia with asthma?
I didn't have an
embolism
or anything, but it ached a lot, all over. I wondered if this might have been due to the combination of uncontrolled asthma and GA?

Amioderone
Something that may be useful knowledge..... My respiratory consultant is trying to find the cause of my pulmonary hypertension. Fibrosis has been ruled out. He said that it was very good that I had never taken amioderone as it can cause pulmonary fibrosis and that I must never take it. I had an injection

Dental work
I have root resorption on one of my front teeth, the dentist will have to remove it and either fit an implant or I will have a denture on a plate instead. My GP said I need to stop my warfarin for a day before and two days after and have heparin instead, he said the dentist should arrange this. When

Shortness of breath with hiatus hernia?
Now, the docs are making me self inject a blood thinner until I can get a CT scan on Monday as they think I could have a pulmonary
embolism
. I get zero pain on breathing though and can breathe quite deeply. I definitely have some gastric issues.

Flu Vaccine and anticoagulants
I went into Boots for my flu vaccine, and paid for it as I was told NHS did not know when they would be ready yet ( I had no prob last year). Since last year I have been taking Dabigatran. After quite a wait I was finally told that I would need to have it subcutaneously but that the pharmacists had

Warfarin
I have been on Warfarin for the last 10 years and was told I will be on it for life. My INR, however, seems to be a continual moving target. I have now been taken off Warfarin and put on Rivaroxaban to control my INR. I have also been told that I no longer need to have my level checked. If that is the

Husband's adventures
Complaining of severe epigastric abdominal pain and looking really unwell, with vomiting the out of hours doctor referred him to A & E. Until now he has been a healthy 73 year old overweight and has lost four stone in 60 months, just re=educating his palate and being married to me. Still working.

Fragmin dosage query
I am currently using fragmin, the dosage being 18,000. At a haematology appointment last week, the consultant suggested at my next appointment reviewing the dosage and maybe looking to reduce it. Whilst my consultant is not an APS specialist, they do have some experience of the condition and they are
