Anticoagulant for AF
My doctor has prescribed an anticoagulant (
Eliquis
) but I'm scared of taking it because of the side effects. I had two bleeding episodes in the past plus I have chronic kidney disease, two conditions mentioned on the
Eliquis
site that may be contraindicated.

Eliquis and surgery
I will have to go off my
Eliquis
for several days prior to having surgery on one of my eyes. I am terrified that I may go into AF while off it. Has anyone had to go off their anticoagulant for surgery and had AF without it causing a stroke?

Does metoprolol succinate cause nocturia
I am on Flecainide 25 mg in am and pm, and metoprolol succinate 25 mg in the am, and 2.5 mg
eliquis
in am & pm. Although bph can cause nocturia, has metoprolol succinate and
eliquis
also been known to cause it?

Having a bad day
Went home from hospital after a week of being treated with heparin and
eliquis
with an INR of 1.4. I continued
eliquis
for a month before my Pulmonologist moved me to warfarin. I was on warfarin for 3 days when I was back in the hospital with a few new PEs.

Tired
Only on
Eliquis
2x's a day. Doing whatever I want to do. However, today was a day that I have spent all day in bed. Totally exhausted. Is it normal to have days like this that comes out of the blue? Hoping tomorrow is a better day.

Medication dosage
I was recently diagnosed with AF and put on
Eliquis
, which I have not yet begun to take for so many reasons. First and foremost, I'm scared of the bleeding side effect (I've had bleeding in my stools twice), then I have kidney issues and I've been given a 10mg dosage twice a day.
