I am on Flecainide 25 mg in am and pm, and metoprolol succinate 25 mg in the am, and 2.5 mg eliquis in am & pm. Although bph can cause nocturia, has metoprolol succinate and eliquis also been known to cause it?

Does metoprolol succinate cause nocturia
No but AF most definitely does.
Do not know about Eliquis, however, beta blockers like Metoprolol are a known cause of nocturia.
Jim
Thanks. Do you think a minimum dose of 25 mg Metoprolol taken at 8 am start causing nocturia about 17 hours later?
Al
Just to clarify a little based on the responses of others.
Beta blockers are a known cause of nocturia, but that doesn't mean it causes nocturia in everyone that takes them.
And conversely, just because someone takes beta blockers and does not have nocturia, doesn't mean you won't get it.
And as has been pointed out, there can be multiple causes of nocturia although I've never heard of a fib as one of them, unless you are actively out of rhythm.
As to your direct question, the only way to know is by analyzing your history and trial and error under your doctor supervision.
Jim
I don't know of any link with medication. I suffer from it but the cause is put don to BPH. I have read that AF can cause frequency while it is occurring in some people, but not especially nocturia.

If you are an older man you might need to get your prostate checked. You also might want to take an early morning sample to your GP to check for infection.
