struggling to understand why!
hi I’m really struggling coming to terms with having a heart attack 2yrs ago at the age of 43. I’m a woman and told at the time they don’t know what caused my artery to collapse. I had a stent fitted. everytime I have back pain. Sore pressure like feeling in my neck. I think it happening again. Then

4-months post ablation, what I have been through.
Hi All, Giving an update on my post-ablation progress, which may inform those of you in the same process or more importantly those who are looking for answers to their immediate post-ablation concerns. A caveat, read on my experience but always talk to your EP. You may follow from my previous posts,

heart reading gadgets
i have an oximeter and a mini portable ECG monitor. I have had the oximeter longer, but it doesn’t record the heartbeat so I decided to get the ECG monitor to try and record episodes of heart rhythm disturbances that I get from time to time, eg AF and SVT. I get ectopics as well. When I’ve used them

I had an ecg this morning and it said that my systolic reading was 88mmhg and my diastolic was 50mmhg. The nurse said that my blood pressure was a bit low 88/50mmhg. I don't know what will happen whether or not I will be put on medication or not. I am really worried. I just hope when I see the doctor

Skipped Beats
Well--I have written on this forum before and appreciate all the feedback about my heart palpitations, anxiety, skipped beats, etc. I have had them since I was 9 on and off and now I am 70. Went to the cardiologist in June and said I was "exceptionally fit". EKG, ECHO, Halter all good. I know exactly

ecg and low blood pressure
I have had a ecg this morning and it was fine but it says that my systolic reading was 88mmhg and my diastolic was 50mmhg. The nurse said that my blood pressure was a little low but it has never been low until today. I am not sure why. anyway, I hope that there is nothing bad wrong with me. I hope you

List of sympathetic Endochronologists?
Hi I had RAI and currently on T4/T3 combo. I have been getting a private prescription from my GP for the T3 as in 2018 she said our PCC wouldn’t fund it. She is now retiring and my new GP wants to refer me to an Endo to discuss the need for T3 as I have possibly been having heart arythmia recently

Claudication in the legs
I have recently joined. I wish I had done so two years ago. I have just read a description of Claudication of the legs and realised that is exactly what I have been experiencing. Having had Claudication of the jaw during GCA I can’t think why I didn’t relate it. Possibly because old GP mentioned steroid

Understanding ECG Heart Monitoring
Many people ask questions about heart monitoring, especially when in AF. I fell across this leaflet on the AA site just now which if you are a beginner at this Arrythmia lark may be very helpful https://api.heartrhythmalliance.org/files/download/7f82ea4db24cb28b7e3452ad158d62ee

hi everyone, I hope you are having a good day. I am sorry to rant but I am having an ecg on Thursday and it is making me feel anxious and worried. I don't think I have any heart problems but I worry anyway. I still have chest ache but it is better than it was. I coughed a lot when I had covid so I don't

Paroxysmal AF getting worse
I was diagnosed with PAF last spring and put on bisoprolol plus a blood thinner. The dosage of bisoprolol has since crept up to the maximum 10mg per day as the PAF has become more frequent and longer lasting. I have been struggling to get my GP to get me an appt with cardiology for a meds review and/

Hi, I survived an SCA ans am looking to better support my heart health
Hey guys, At the end of the day, I’m a middle aged lady working to improve my heart health before more time and heart function slips away, making the climb back up that much steeper. What’s given my heart health journey more dimension is that I was born with a ventricular septal defect that closed
