Hi there. Well, I woke up one morning 2 months ago and felt short of breath...like I couldn't get a full satisfying breath and my chest had
locked up on me. Since then I have felt off and on heaviness in my chest, like a smothering suffocating feeling, and sometimes it lasts nearly all day, and so often I just can't get that deep satisfying breath so I try to force it by frequent yawning, and sometimes I can't even complete the yawn! It

Anxiety/Panic is taking over my life and I just want to feel normal again.
Now they want me to take
effexor
(Venlafaxine) and I am nervous as heck don't want to feel worse, worried about side effects and what not. I don't know what to do anymore. Next step is therapy maybe.. because I don't know if I can be brave enough to try the new meds.

Medication?
Effexor
The first one seemed to be very effective with people suffering with SA, I just wondered if anybody had used any of these and if so what did you find with it? I am going to see my GP soon so wanted to research what was available, I don't think counselling is for me Thanks

Withdrawal Symptoms
I was on
Effexor
and if I went cold turkey I wouldnt be here right now. I would have probably committed suicide and took a few people with me. Im not a monster....thats just the effect of such meds when the body and brain senses withdrawals.....When we put unnatural chemicals in our bodies.

Hi, I'm new here!
By now I was taking
Effexor
again, plus Reboxetine, diazepam (never stopped that) and prochlorperazine. That was 11 years ago and have been on a roller coaster of dysthymia to dreadfully down for most of the time since.

On a standard b12 blood test my levels are normal can I still be b12 deficient?
The neurologist suggested
Effexor
for 6 months to try to raise my pain threshold to manage the nerve damage, which I have been doing. However my sister has had similar symptoms to me and she also has normal B12 levels but she responds very well to B12 injections.

Think I'm going down hill
I've been on the same med since I started which is 75mg of
Effexor
my gp has said I could increase the dose if I wanted to but I don't. My family is reared and my hubby is out of work he spends most of his time on slot machines, I'm discussed with the way this must sound. But there you are.

I think my son has ADHD
I am convinced now he has ADHD and am so worried because during my first 8 weeks of pregnancy I didn't know and was taking a large dosage of
Effexor
. I was under the impression I couldn't have children so becoming pregnant was not an issue. Now I am consumed with worry and guilt.

Did medication trigger your Scleroderma?
I have reason to believe that taking a course of medication (the antidepressant
Effexor
/ Venlafaxine) triggered my CREST and maybe my Psoriasis.

Does anyone have experience with nortriptyline?
My Doc put me on
Effexor
and atavan. I tried the
effexor
for 2 weeks only to worsen clinging to the bed with increasing fear. More tremors and light headedness plus poor sleep. Also I had great difficulty peeing at night. The only thing thtat helped was the atavan but it is short acting.
