Effexor

Has anyone used Effexor ( venlafaxine ) for hot flashes. MO prescribed Effexor 37.5 mg for dad for hot flashes. Since it is an anti depressant I think it may help also in the dullness that has come into him since being on xtandi.

I am currently going through a pretty bad withdrawal from Effexor. I weaned off as my doctor prescribed +3 months I added on just to make sure because I didn’t want to feel like I felt when I missed a dose. I was on 300 mg a day after five months, I got it down to 37.5 for the last three weeks.

Effexor and buspar just made me cry. Lexapro made me sick. Does anyone take gabapentin for generalized anxiety disorder? or trintillex?

Anyone have any tips on how to successfully come right off Venlafaxine/Effexor? I badly want to come off it now, but i don't want to be dysfunctional for an unknown quantity of weeks/months...!!

Early june, my doctor and I decided it was time for me to switch from the current antidepressant I was on (Venalafaxine) to a new one (Burpropion). She down doseed me from the current antidepressant however never mentioned how bad the withdrawl symptoms could be. 24 hours after the last pill, I got

Take effexor but it doesn't do that much. Considering therapy.

I saw a video of how bad coming of of Effexor was and now my anxiety has gotten bad about taking it ☹️ any advice would be appreciated…. Not feeling so great today

I’m switching meds from effexor to Zoloft. I’ve been doing well until today.. day 9… I think more and more of the Effexor is getting out of my system. Anyways tomorrow is my 50th bday and a cpl of my kiddos are here to celebrate with me.

Hi My husband has been taking Effexor for hot flushes and it does not seem to be effective any longer . He increased the dose from 37.5 to 75 mg and that did not seem to make a difference. He has been off Effexor now and the oncologist is saying to try the low dose Estradiol patch .

I was doing good with my supplement routine (vitamin d, theanine, magnesium glycninate and b complex) but I think I’ll try Effexor. It’s been a year now of suffering from anxiety since that virus. Sometimes I’m so overwhelmed with helplessness since I try everything to feel better.

He also is taking Effexor 75mg for the hot flushes which has decreased them . He keeps busy in day and exercises as much as possible. Has Zoledex injection every 3 months and Nubeqa daily. Finished chemo on April 18. The fatigue is brutal for him and he is struggling.

I take Effexor and buspar plus a clonazepam 1 mg before bed… I tried remeron but even tho it worked the side effects were not good for me. I have an appt Thursday… just seeing what all yall do take to give me some ideas. I really need my sleep ☹️

So whenever I’m not feeling good even with Effexor XR I run to him to talk to him and ask him for help. I have a large beautiful framed picture of the Lord praying in the garden of Bethsemany. The lord is good he will help you in your darkest hour, believe me I know !

My doctor wants me to go on Effexor. I have many drug allergies and usually do not do well on medication.

So I did well transitioning from Effexor to Zoloft. Some bad dizziness and stuff but I managed. Now I’m kinda struggling with feeling sad… mainly I think it’s due to being on a low dose and getting Zoloft built up in my system.

I am 60 with MDD and currently trying to wean off of Effexor XR 150 mg (have been on this for 20 years) and having a horrible time going off. I would have petit mal seizures in the past if off for 48 hours.

I was on the same two medications for 24 years, effexor and trazadone, and managed my anxiety/depression/panic well my whole life. Long story short, I had a medical episode at the beginning of the year that necessitated I switch medications.

I have been researching Effexor for use in vestibular migraine, it appears to work well however i have seen alot of information that says it is a very hard drug to come off of? Has anyone successfully come off this and your vestibular migraine treated?

I spent over 10 months on Effexor, which did nothing except make me very nauseous. None of the meds did anything. I had to stop most of them due to adverse side effects. Surely if it was truly VM then it would have responded to something.

I Started with zoloft, effexor, lexapro. Most recently i was prescribed a wellbutrin/viibryd combo for the past 10 years i think. I had kind of leveled off for quite sometime. I hadnt been taking the wellbutrin for about 6 months and was doing half pills of the viibryd.
