Pseudo bi-cusped goes bad!
So my most recent echo cardiogram takes me into the 'severe' stenotic zone and a candidate for aortic valve replacement. I've selected and met my surgeon and valve type so now await a date for this routine op. Dr Google can answer most of my questions apart from when? and how much and long is the sternum

Dizzy vs Lightheaded vs Palpitations
This should be a simple question but it turns out it's more complex. Around 25 years ago I was going through a very stressful time so much so that I was getting heart palpitations, (ectopic heartbeats) and tachycardia. Went to my GP who said it was stress, dealt with the situation and everything went

Shortness of breath better, but chest discomfort that feels like back pain
I eventually went to gp etc, got chest X-rays, blood tests, urine test etc (except for
echocardiogram
) and everything was fine. All docs said it was anxiety, so I accepted it.

Pace maker needed?
I have had an
echocardiogram
test which came back negative, which seems unrealistic given the fact my body is in constant pain, evidently indicating internal damage. Have had fallouts with my gp surgery on a regular basis as they haven't been taking my symptoms seriously.

Back in depression after 12 years happy. WTF
Went for a
echocardiogram
and all is well...healthy heart thankfully. Blood pressure and cholesterol were a bit high and thyroid output was a bit low so I have started to take something for that....allegedly low thyroid can cause depression.

Ramipril
He said the
echocardiogram
I had has shown my heart has weakened slightly but that's normal when you have AF. He has given me Ramipril to address this and says 1.25MG is a really small dose.

Any info
Hello to all. Wondered if anyone has a similar experience. After many many months of tests I have been diagnosed with Asthma. The problem I have is SOB, nothing seems to give me relief, I have had scans both CT and MRI, stress tests, echo cardiogram, Spirometry all results are in the normal range. Yet

First Rheumatology appointment since positive test.
I’ve had baseline
echocardiogram
and lung function tests, which I’ll find out the results for on Wednesday. What should I be asking him? Should I asked for a referral to a specialist team? Many thanks for reading, appreciate any feedback. 😊

Concerning symptoms
For the last 4 years I have been having regular checkups with my cardiologist, usually an
echocardiogram
. Recently, these have been every 6 months and now I am at the stage of needing to have the valve replaced, probably next summer. However, the reason for my post is this.

Monitoring patients on Flecainide
https://academic.oup.com/europace/article/13/2/161/519048 I had an
echocardiogram
showing no heart disease, but I guess I'd feel more reassured if I could have an exercise test just to check my QRS intervals!

Round 2 Ventilator because of pneumonia in the ICUhttps://healthunlocked.com/
He was given an
echocardiogram
which came back saying his heart was only working 20-25%. He was sedated and on the ventilator for 6-7 days and they tried to wean him off several times. On the 6th or 7th day he was able to breathe with a mask.

Partially diagnosed; glad to have found this site!
Going for
echocardiogram
and a repeat of spirometry test in mid January. I am a former smoker, never a pack a day, but over many years. I quit several months before becoming aware of oxygen desaturation.

Still awaiting Angio and
Echocardiogram

A bit spooky - Did I always know?
Well, after those tests he sent me for an
echocardiogram
because one of the tests to do with the heart wasn't perfect and a heart murmur that Id always known about but didn't seem to be on their records. So now I find myself at Kings this week after being referred by a cardiologist.
