Why does fluid retention come with AF ..?
I shall be on a diuretic next week, along with
dronedarone
to add to Apixaban and bisoprolol, then on the list for cardioversion. Is it the drugs or AF that causes the fluid retention?

Dronedarone
I have just started taking this on my 9 day. I had started AF when I took the first one . That lasted for 49 hours. Then AF free for 2 days then AF for 49 hours then 2 day AF free and have just just AF again now. Normally I can have a week in between. I am hoping this is just teething problems. Can’t

Newly diagnosed Atrial Fibrillation or flutter
I’ve now been diagnosed and am on Apixaban and
Dronedarone
. With a visit back next week. I really didn’t feel very different, just a little wobbly, and some palpitations at night. I think it explains some dizzy spells over the years, and some occasions where I’ve felt dreadful when waking at night.

Fourth time a char?
It lasted 4 years but with Afib episodes sporadically [despite beta blocker,
dronedarone
, Amiodarone (not all at the same time!)]. Two more rf ablations, three more cardioversions. No longer in Afib but in atrial flutter.

Flecainide v Dronedarone
I have had lots of breakthroughs of afib recently on Flecainide and even on quite high doses is not calming things - my cardiologist ahs suggested we try a change to
dronedarone
- has anyone else done this and if so what's the experience been like ?

Meds and ablation
Amiodarone led to underactive thyroid (unbelievable fatigue, worse than AF) and now on
dronedarone
. My question....can anyone else relate with this and the associated frustrations? Feels like a new problem each week and having major impact on work and general health.

First Experiences with Dronedarone and subsequent Liver Testing
I'm wondering how the ALT levels changed for other initial
Dronedarone

Bisoprolol Experiences
He dismissed the option for Flecainide/ Bisoprolol due to bradycardia and instead recommended
dronedarone
. I followed the doctor’s advice of having a one week overlap for the two medications after having reduced bisoprolol dosage to 1.25mg.

New start on Dronedarone
I was offered the choice of Ablation or the
Dronedarone
, ablation sounded really scary as my AF prolonged episodes are really minimal but my heart rate is all over the place.

Dronedarone,yes or no.
I recently had my medication changed from lowest dose bisoprolol 1.25mg daily to
dronedarone
400mg twice daily EP, no real explanation as such, not sure if I want to take this drug, was just wondering if anybody has any advice regarding, or experience with this med. I would be very grateful.

Multaq aka Dronedarone, 400mg twice daily recommend by electrophysiologist (EP)
76 years old, on Metoprolol extended release (ER) 25 mg, Atorvastatin both once daily I was taking Metoprolol ER 100 mg once daily and feeling tired and lacking energy. I also have sleep apnea and epilepsy. My EP says Multaq is expensive but works well. I have also had a maze procedure. I am asymptomatic

6 Months Post Ablation
Been on
Dronedarone
, Flecinade, Sotalol and Bisoprolol. Thank you everyone for all your support all these years, it means so much to me especially when I felt so helpless whenever AF strikes.

Is it too late to have an ablation?
My question now is I have had A-Fib for 8 years and 4 years ago I was put on Multag (
Dronedarone
) which I thought was my miracle drug.....well it has stopped working! I have been getting more frequent attacks and have been on a 7 day monitor which showed that I am in A-Fib 27% of the time.

Dronedarone
I went to A and E and had a cardioversion which was successful ( hopefully) and have been prescribed
Dronedarone
( Multaq). I’m now expecting to have an ablation soon. Blood tests are organised with the hospital. Has anybody else had any experience with this medication?

Dronedarone as an extra med for PAF episodes?
Have had a echocardiogram and have been offered
Dronedarone
if my symptoms continue. Unsure whether to start this med. Episodes about every 2 to 3 weeks, lasting up to 12 hours. Any thoughts on this from anyone would be appreciated. Thankyou
