I have just started taking this on my 9 day. I had started AF when I took the first one . That lasted for 49 hours. Then AF free for 2 days then AF for 49 hours then 2 day AF free and have just just AF again now. Normally I can have a week in between. I am hoping this is just teething problems. Can’t speak to EP till Monday. Any thoughts. My rate is about 120

At the moment but will go down do onset 100

Dronadarone (Multaq) dropped out of use after initial enthusiasm after it came out in 2008 from memory. I notice it being prescribed a bit now but not seen too many rave reviews. Hang in there for a while as it normally takes a couple of weeks for the body to get used to new drugs.

After 18 months on Amiodarone resulting in some eyesight issues I moved to Dronedarone around 6 months ago. Plus magneium and a handful of nuts a day together with a clean diet and normal daily physical work on the farm. Very occaisional minor AF excursions (Kardia monitored) with a BPM usually around 130 brought back into line with Metoprolol used as a PIP. After 4 ablations and 3 CV's over 16 years this regime seems to work for me at the moment.

hi gertsen ,ive been on dronederone for around 3 years along with bisoprolol , they havent stopped runs of afib ,but have calmed the pounding somewhat, i asked my ep about change of meds about 3 months ago and he told me i was on the best i could be on , as bobd says there are not too many rave reviews.

I am now getting on for two months on Dronedarone it hasn’t stopped my AF but episodes are much calmer and bpm nearly always under or around 100 so much easier to live with I hardly feel them episodes are still long and about once a week. Will be speaking with my EP in about a month. I can’t have an ablation as I am a carer for my husband and can’t take the time. But my quality of life is good 😊

That is when I am in AF, in sinus it is around 60. I would be speaking with the EP in about a month .
