Dronedarone - or ablation of the ligament of Marshall
I have a few weeks to decide what to do next -
Dronedarone
or ablation of the ligament of Marshall. I need to find out more about that ablation but haven’t really started yet. I’m in NSR - infact I’m really lucky that I’m usually mostly in NSR.

PAF converting back to NSR very noticeable.
Anyone else get this Phoned arythmia nurse today told to keep taking
dronedarone
even though I'm still getting episodes at least twice a week after 3 weeks on it. Said she'd discuss at Monday meeting with cardiology.

Dare I state that a homeopathic medicine stopped my AFib attacks!!!
He prescribed
Dronedarone
400mg at an additional cost of £88. Did not take this medication, because two days later 30 Nov 22 I had an appointment with a homeopathic practitioner who is also a NHS GP, and I needed to find out if the homeopathic doctor could treat the AFib.

advice re: magnesium supplements
So , my question is regarding magnesium supplements and what is safe to take with
dronedarone
and 2.5 mgs bisoprolol . I’ve seen a few posts already on here saying that magnesium citrate and ? Oxide is not safe for people with AF . Is it Magnesium malate that is safe ?

Dronedarone(Multaq) The good and the bad.?
Am curious to know the experiences of others taking this drug. Hav e been on it for more than three years now with diminishing effect on my PAF. Breakthroughs every 10 to 20 days with an AF duration of about 6 to 7 hours which I help to abort by then taking Bisoprolol 2,5 mg which reduces my heart rate

the safety of amiadarone
Here's a scientific study showing that: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7192149/ hope it helps to reduce anxiety for some people especially those facing using it long-term ( ie me if
dronedarone
doesn't work....) 🤣

Amiodarone
. 🤬 I’ve been through sotalol, tikosyn, and currently
dronedarone
.
Dronedarone
has kept the events shorter and slower, but no less frequent. a bit of progress. Now the EP wants to try amiodarone, recognizing that I’m really too young to be on it long term.

Dronedarone - 10 Month Update
I have been using
dronedarone
since my poor experiences on Bisoprolol. See link. https://healthunlocked.com/afassociation/posts/146725273/bisoprolol-experiences I am delighted to say that things are fine so far. I still get some breakthroughs of about once or twice per month for a few hours.

Update on my hybrid ablation
One option might be to switch to
dronedarone
. I’m also one of the unlucky ones for whom an LAA occlusion doesn’t mean a life free of blood thinners, but I can live with that. I may never be free of this pesky beast, but it won’t defeat me 😎😉😊

Why does fluid retention come with AF ..?
I shall be on a diuretic next week, along with
dronedarone
to add to Apixaban and bisoprolol, then on the list for cardioversion. Is it the drugs or AF that causes the fluid retention?

Dronedarone
I have just started taking this on my 9 day. I had started AF when I took the first one . That lasted for 49 hours. Then AF free for 2 days then AF for 49 hours then 2 day AF free and have just just AF again now. Normally I can have a week in between. I am hoping this is just teething problems. Can’t

Newly diagnosed Atrial Fibrillation or flutter
I’ve now been diagnosed and am on Apixaban and
Dronedarone
. With a visit back next week. I really didn’t feel very different, just a little wobbly, and some palpitations at night. I think it explains some dizzy spells over the years, and some occasions where I’ve felt dreadful when waking at night.

Fourth time a char?
It lasted 4 years but with Afib episodes sporadically [despite beta blocker,
dronedarone
, Amiodarone (not all at the same time!)]. Two more rf ablations, three more cardioversions. No longer in Afib but in atrial flutter.

Flecainide v Dronedarone
I have had lots of breakthroughs of afib recently on Flecainide and even on quite high doses is not calming things - my cardiologist ahs suggested we try a change to
dronedarone
- has anyone else done this and if so what's the experience been like ?

Meds and ablation
Amiodarone led to underactive thyroid (unbelievable fatigue, worse than AF) and now on
dronedarone
. My question....can anyone else relate with this and the associated frustrations? Feels like a new problem each week and having major impact on work and general health.

First Experiences with Dronedarone and subsequent Liver Testing
I'm wondering how the ALT levels changed for other initial

users? Thanks! Vince

Bisoprolol Experiences
He dismissed the option for Flecainide/ Bisoprolol due to bradycardia and instead recommended
dronedarone
. I followed the doctor’s advice of having a one week overlap for the two medications after having reduced bisoprolol dosage to 1.25mg.
