dronedarone
i’ve been on amiodarone very successfully since a successful cardioversion last August but recently blood test showed effect on my thyroid so I’ve been switched to
dronedarone
which I haven’t started taking as yet.

Maltaq
Since my dizziness and shortness of breath had become unmanageable my doctor prescribed Maltaq Generic name is
Dronedarone
. Just for these few weeks. It’s been a miracle. I can’t even feel the arrhythmia anymore. Wondering if anyone else has experienced either good or adverse effects. Thanks.

Cutting bisoprolol dose and Dronedarone
If that strategy doesn’t work,
dronedarone
was proposed. Before taking this it’s necessary to have a prostate test, apparently (not sure why). It should allow the heart to beat faster and hence make it less likely to go into PAF. Has anyone taken this drug?

Pulsed Field Ablation in UK
Was on Bisoprolol initially, then
Dronedarone
but frequency of episodes increased. Now on Flecainide and Bisoprolol for last 4 weeks without an AF occurrence. My EP has recommended an ablation and I am now on a waiting list (12 months+).

Results from Ultrasound scan
I'm on
dronedarone
and bisoporol ( extra in af). This has made me ask the forum if anyone else has the same conditions and how are they coping. Would really appreciate a friendly reassurance. I wrote a few weeks ago and received many helpful comments. Thanks to everyone's concern

Detecting undiagnosed AF
I was the subject of a paper (available on the Internet) on pulmonary toxicity (aka cryptogenic organising pnuemonia) secondary to
dronedarone
and amiodarone, so you might say that my AF is well documented. I signed up to the current OurFutureHealth study.

I'm new to this community , but not to Health Unlocked
In 2014 I had pulmonary toxicity (cryptogenic organising pnuemonia) secondary to
dronedarone
and amiodarone. It took three hospital admissions before it was correctly diagnosed. I had read the American medical papers and knew it was not the diagnosed community aquired pnuemonia.

Do I need an ablation?
Also I’ve only had one episode of AF in the last six months although I was on amiodarone and now on
dronedarone
. I’m having the ablation under general anaesthetic and I’m concerned that both the general anaesthetic and the ablation itself will cause me to feel very unwell afterwards.

Constant afib
My medication is Bisoporol 5mg, Warfarin and
Dronedarone
500mg twice daily. I had an ablation two years ago which didn't work. I'm going for an echocardiagram and a a halter early April to ascertain if heart has changed. Has anyone any positive feedback to help me cope with afib sessions.

Advice please - feeling worried
My EP is now saying I am not a suitable patient for a daily dose of Flecainide due to Calcium score and that if the AF becomes too intrusive I could be considered for
Dronedarone
. He has upped my statin from 5mg to 10mg.

I have been taking
dronedarone
for 4 years for paroxysmal af. At first it worked very well but now I go into AF about once a week. My last annual check was 400 af episodes which was a shock as I was not aware of that many. I have a pacemaker as my heart rate was too slow . It has been fixed at 61.

Dronedarone - thoughts ?
I wondered if anyone could share their experience with
dronedarone
please ? I'm 4 years into my AF journey and as well as 2 unsuccessful ablations I've tried all of the first line AAD's including sotalol, propafenone and flecainide.

Dronedarone
Anybody on
dronedarone
? I've been given 1.25 mg bisoprolol. I'm being monitored on a virtual ward and my heart rate has dropped to 50. Doctor says only medication left to try is
dronedarone
but I'm really nervous about it as amiodarone made me so ill.

I’ve been change to

, been taking it about 4 months and have had episodes of AF, in fact currently ‘I n one’, this is after a day of stress so not surprised, but having been to the consultant the day before the previous attack last week can not work out why.

Stuck in the middle
She is loath to prescribe
dronedarone
because of all the monitoring required, the low resting heart rate and the fact that i did not tolerate amiodorane. She suggested that I keep a diary of my symptoms. Where do I go from here?
