Has anyone else experienced cutaneous breast cancer metastases? After being treated for metastatic breast cancer for 8 years, I developed skin metastases. The first group was radiated and I thought they were gone. Within months they reappeared and spread across my chest while at the same time internally I also showed progression.
As a result of this, I began a 6 month Doxil regiment which I am about to complete. The lesions on my chest have gotten somewhat smaller but can still cause pain and are for lack of better explanation, are quite awful looking. My oncologist has hope that as the doxil continues to work in my system they will continue to shrink and dry up as well(the oozing is hard to deal with).
If anyone has experience d this, I would like to know what their treatment was and if it was resolved at all. For now, I am dealing as I have since my original diagnosis 28 years ago. I have managed through many treatments, and have stayed confident even when it became metastatic but these lesions have left me discouraged.

I too have experienced cutaneous breast cancer metastasis, but not to the degree you have. In 2020 the lump in my clavicle region was biopsies. Since then I've been on Ibrance with letrozole, Kisqali with fluvestrant, 10 cycles of Xeloda, and currently 10 cycles of Doxil. In all cases, except the Kisqali, the tumor flattened, markers went down, and liver and bone lesions were stable. When the treatment stopped working the clavicle tumor grew, which is where I am now. I am so sorry for what you are experiencing with spread and oozing. I hope you will strike upon a treatment that works. Gwen/flower friend
I’m so sorry to hear this. As if you haven’t been through enough! I wish there was a cream that would make it disappear! I’m coming up on ten years and get very discouraged sometimes trying to stay alive, you are amazing with 28 years and still fighting. Wow! I wish I could offer you something besides empathy. Good luck to you.
I have that same issue, most in between my breasts. I am on a clinical trial called RLY 2608. Since being on the trial they have gotten substantially better.
If you can make it 28 years, you can make it through this. I am at my year 4 mark and am grateful for the 4 but I know I couldn't have made even 4 years without GRIT, hope and determination. Glad to hear the Doxil is effective.
