Augmentation with Clonazepam
Does augmentation occur with Clonazepam in the same way as it does with the
dopamine
agonist drugs? I have been taking 2 x 0.5 mg each night but now find they are not effective

I've recently being have tests for possible heart problems but my specialist seems to think i have vasovagal syncope.
After having ECG tapes fitted for 24hrs then a wk and then a month they then did heart scan with
dopamine
drugs which showed slight reflux in a valve but said it was nothing to worry about and isn't the cause of my problems.

Does anyone have any reliable information about ZANDOPA?
I can't be prescribed a
dopamine
agonist because of ICD previously. I have received a 200g jar of Zandopa - and just want to check out the insights of you good folks on this site to make sure that it will help me reduce my Sinemet safely.

The Placebo Effect - how significant is it in Parkinsons.
Because we believe they will work we find they do, our belief causes a chemical change (eg such as raising
dopamine
levels) . If this is true then what part does the placebo effect play in our treatment, whatever approach we use?

Research is going on into getting rid of unwanted iron in dopamine producing cells. Has anyone considered reducing iron in their diet?

I came across this article. What is the role of mitochondrial dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease?
These symptoms are the result of a decline of
Dopamine
in the brain, which occurs as a result of loss of neurons that produce this vital neurotransmitter. Which led me to this: Life Extension Magazine November 2011 Report Reverse Brain Cell Death by Growing New Mitochondria.

Some of you have told me that you take your
dopamine
drugs early in the evening so you can sit through a movie, a dinner, a car ride..but you get so drowsy so you sleep by 8pm and than wake back up at 11am with either RLS or Insomnia..

The doctor gave a second med, a
dopamine
antagonist and another med for the hallucinations caused by the antagonist. The hallucinations caused by the second med became permanent residents, 24/7.

Does anyone have experience/information/opinion on the use of pickle juice to treat symptoms of PD?
Some Doctors oppose it, as follows: " Pickle Juice is laden with salt and may leach
dopamine
from the nerve cells, thus worsening the condition." Under the heading of, "what can we lose", I have tried it on restless leg and minor cramping and have received relief.

Hi, has anybody been offered mirapex, which is given to Parkinsons sufferers.?
Mirapex is used in Parkinsons disease as patients are low on
dopamine
. So my question is has anyone been offered a Parkinsons medication and how are you managing the side effects e.g. nausea?

Dopamine agonists have helped me so much.
After years of suffering and symptoms getting worse. Pain in my knees and hips from the jerking and having to sit on my hands at work as symptoms started in the afternoon I did some searching and found some research a professor had done with parkinsons medication being able to treat RLS symtoms I went

This and That RLS
We get those kinds of suggestions to do and when we tell the doctor that it's not working then they look at prescribing one of the
dopamine
drugs. Most of us end up going back to the doctor again to state that those medicines aren't doing the job.

TIPS ON STOPPING SMOKING
Although your mind's nicotine induced
dopamine
/adrenaline intoxication is an alert high, your chemical dependency is every bit as real and permanent as alcoholism. Treating a true addiction as though it were some nasty little habit is a recipe for relapse. There is no such thing as just one puff.
