Not CBD after all
In February we started hubby on Carbadopa-levodopa (
Dopamine
drug) and he responded very well. He has his gait back! Walks almost normal and is just a little bit off balance. Without the
dopamine
drug he was in a wheelchair, unable to move his right leg and right arm.

Choline can exacerbate your dystonia - Be aware
There should be a balance between
Dopamine
and Acetylcholine and if not we get dystonia or our dystonia becomes severe. As we know one way to treat dystonia is Anticholinergic drugs which inhibit cholinergic activities in the brain.

Overmethylation and Undermethylation: Case Study
Methylation Requires Balance http://mthfr.net/taking-folate-and-feeling-badly-methylation-requires-balance/2011/11/15/ 💢💢Increased methylation can deplete
dopamine

Dramatic Recovery In Parkinson’s Patient with Gluten Free Diet
Notably, the patient did not see measurable improvements in the dopaminergic abnormalities discovered in his brain scan, which would be expected in classical Parkinson's disease, which is marked by the degeneration of the
dopamine
producing cells in the substantia nigra of the brain.

Dystonia and Parkinson's disease: What is the relationship?
The response of early dystonia to the introduction of
dopamine
replacement therapy (levodopa,
dopamine
agonists) is variable; dystonia commonly occurs in PD patients following levodopa initiation.

Losing hope
I know of course that my body starts to work again as a result of my
dopamine
levels rising but my levels must be so low during the offs that if they continue to get worse at their present rate, pretty soon they will go so low that my body will give up and I will actually die during an off.

A question about pain in legs.
I am scared thought that I will augment on the Neupro patch being another
dopamine
agonist, but am not going to increase the dose and will take drug holidays to try to circumvent that.

Ultrasound restores dopaminergic pathway in brain at Parkinson’s early stages
group in the department of neurology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, they discovered that protein delivery and gene delivery across the BBB can partly restore the dopaminergic pathways, the neurons in the brain that are affected in early Parkinson’s disease. https://neurosciencenews.com/

dopamine
-driving Parkinson's drugs, one watchdog group ran out of patience.

Has anyone tried Wellbutrin / bupropion and has it helped?
I think bupropion is a
dopamine
based treatment rather than serotonin, so should be OK....just wondered whether anyone has tried it and what the side effects were for them if any? Many thanks. This forum is an absolute Godsend.

MMS DMSO for treatment of Parkinson's
Looking back it seems that every stress, trauma is getting him in to panic mode with worse simptoms, but has moments when he walks quite ok, so the
dopamine
producing cells not working theory may not be true...it seems that the
dopamine
is blocked by the panic accoeding to Dr. Janice Walton.

He was treated with cabergoline (
dopamine

Stress and anxiety in Parkinson's - my 2 pennies worth
but 3 things stand out for me : 1) When
dopamine
levels are low the adrenal response is only going to lower it further? 2) When
dopamine
levels are low, are we creating enough adrenal response for fight or flight, and if not is that why we are freezing?
