ADD Medication
I just had an interesting thought and inquiry about the relationship between specific neurotransmitters like
dopamine
and norepinephrine as a relates to very long chain, fatty acid metabolism, in peroxisomes. Surprisingly, there is a bit of a link, but it’s not clearly understood.

The problem with Buprenorphine, BTBD9 and serotonin syndrome
Adenosine regulates
dopamine
and glutamate and as we know, these excitatory neurotransmitters are also at the heart of RLS. The problem with Buprenorphine is that it acts very much like coffee.

Aspen Neuroscience Granted Fast Track Designation
By the time of diagnosis, it is common for people to have lost the majority of cells that make
dopamine
in the brain. To date, there is no disease-modifying therapy that can stop, replace or prevent the loss of
dopamine
neurons or slow the progression of PD.

Report: Ceylon Cinnamon Relieves Parkinson's Motor Impairment. Evidence Suggests Remedy of Underlying Disease (repost)
This is unlike a symptom reducing medication that merely increases the overall amount of

SMOKING!
There, it activates receptors that release
dopamine
, adrenaline, endorphins, serotonin and other “feel-good” signals in your brain. This is where a nicotine “buzz” comes from. It’s like nicotine pushing buttons to make you more relaxed, content or energized.

Duration of dopamine agonist withdrawal symptoms?
I stopped Mirapexin extended release 0.26mg 12 days ago, and my withdrawal symptoms are a nightmare and getting worse and worse. How long should it last? When can I hope to be better ?

I found an answer!
I love this
dopamine
high (prob some other hormones too). But I cant rely on it coming from men online or attention etc. How the hell do u get
dopamine
in other ways? Obv from chocolate 😆 which is usually my downfall too. But I cant even say when I last ate some since this new fixation???

Benfotiamine In The Mix For PD Again?
via%3Dihub Here is a relevant study quote :
' The results demonstrated that treatment with BFT ameliorated MPTP-induced disorders in behavior, body balance, and
levels in the mid-brain. Among the post-treated groups, a high dose of BFT was the most effective treatment.

Progression ,still no cofirmation
Dopamine
has no effect. can't concentrate, blank stares, hardly walking at all and with support and maximum 10yds. This is a woman who played, Tennis, skiied, Golf, Times crossword and an excellent Bridge player. She is well aware of what is happening to her, but not of what I suspect,

Clinical severity in PD is determined by decline in cortical compensation
It was already known that in Parkinson's disease, the cells in the brain that produce
dopamine
slowly disappear. Therefore, patients are given extra
dopamine
as a medicine. But only a limited link has been found between the loss of those cells, and the degree of complaints in Parkinson's.

Suffering like hell since I tried to taper off a dopamin agonist
My guess is that this cold turkey tapering off a
dopamine
agonist had put me into DAWS (
Dopamine
Agonist Withdrawal Syndrome). The funny (?) thing is that the doctors in the hospital knew nothing about DAWS...

?r=erxmn&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web I think Gary does a lovely job of explaining some of the reasons for mucuna versus el dopa in synthetic forms.

Escape from Augmentation
I have continued to make progress on my path to getting my
dopamine
receptors back to somewhere near normal. I last used a DA patch in September. I am using buprenorphine patches and pregabalin as RLS blockers to assist in the process.

Potential therapeutic effects and pharmacological evidence of sinomenine in central nervous system disorders
Sinomenine may also suppress neuroinflammation triggered by MPP+ or LPS, thereby increasing
dopamine
uptake Qian et al. (2007).

Levadopa questions
This is strange as the brain should still need
dopamine
3) Levadopa causes dyskinesia, on average after 5 years. Research indicates that levadopa somehow alters the brain over the years. The exact change is not exactly known.

Neupro patch = rotigotine
dopamine
agonist only led to augmentation and severe restless legs syndrome which spread to shoulders - at all times of day. The neurologists don't believe us and only offer more of the same. So we are very unpopular for withdrawing meds and doing our own thing!!

Will I always be on ADHD meds?
But let's be honest I cannot balance my
dopamine
levels naturally. (2) Not taking meds to balance my brain chemistry means that I will have to be close to a superhuman to function well. This takes away a lot of valuable time doing other things one enjoys.

Reintroducing DA at a low dose?
What is the current thinking around taking a low dose of a
dopamine
agonist in conjunction with another RLS medication? I took pramipexole ten years ago and experienced augmentation after approximately 12 months. Fortunately I didn't experience DAWS when coming off it.
