About PD and fungus, does this seem plausible to you?

I have heard some of these ideas before. And some are new to me, like the idea that fungus plays a role in our symptoms, but that el dopa can be detrimental because it feeds the bacteria that cause it. Anyone hear this before?

As far as a fungus causing PD, I consider that a big possibility. Berberine is anti-fungal. So is Yakult. So is B3. So is Sulforaphane. So is vitamin C. So is Curcumin. So does Magnolia Extract. So is NAC.

I just Googled those items with "anti-fungal". I was surprised so many came up as helpful against fungi.

I suppose one could take them all ... and be taking tablets all day. Sounds to me like berberine is among the top choices. I have not yet tried it. Are you taking it?

Thanks for this post. I really think that they have found something here. I personally know I have dealt with fungal overgrowth since my college days. One weird symptom was seborrheic dermatitis that developed right before my diagnosis. I also find it extremely curious that so many items on Bolt’s protocol list also deal with fungus.

Great info!

You have probably heard of Joy Milne, the woman who can smell Parkinson's. What she was smelling was actually in the sebum, the oily substance on our skin. So, there are known changes to one's sebum when they get Parkinson's. Of course, Joy was able to detect the smell change in her husband 12 or 13 years before he was diagnosed.

Interesting, I actually had what I described as cradle cap on my scalp before I knew it was called seborrheic dermatitis. In fact, my hairdresser noticed it and a week later I was diagnosed.
