Hi everyone, Has anyone who has received
Docetaxel
had the side effect of peripheral neuropathy and if so, how long did this last? Many thanks in advance.

Zytiga - Abiraterone - To take or not to take right now
I have been taking 10 mg of Prednisolone every day, 5 mg in the AM and 5 mg in the PM; I had 6 cycles of
docetaxel
which I just finished in May.

Are all AR inhibitors the same?
Took
docetaxel
(Taxotere); worked for several months. Just finished 3 cycles of darolutamide (Nubeqa); PSA shot up from 33.6 to 50. MO now prescribes cabazitaxel (Jevtana). My question: Why not try enzalutamide first?

Dr Sartor raises questions about triplet therapy as a SOC for MHSPC. What was the take home message of PEACE I ??
While some have jumped on board and said the new regimen should be
docetaxel
plus abiraterone/prednisone plus ADT, Dr Sartor remains unconvinced...--SEE BELOW: https://www.practiceupdate.com/c/119674/67/11/?

Advice needed on bone trauma
My skeleton is riddled with bone cancer, but since diagnosis December ’17
docetaxel
, abiraterone and last Christmas, targeted radiotherapy on my prostate have kept things in check. However, two months ago I fell and badly bruised my left ribs, still twinging even now.

How much does chemo damage muscles, including the heart?
I've been through 4
Docetaxel
chemo infusions and find my back muscles getting just sorer and sorer. Supposedly over 70% of
docetaxel
chemo users found more muscle pain. I'm wondering if the effect is accumulative and if it is temporary.

Who has has a Decipher Test?
His score was .91 3% chance of radiation favorable response 56% chance response to ADT 51% chance response to
DOCETAXEL
He has an Under-Expressed KLK2 Low AR signaling High 72% Tumor Cell Proliferation After RP … his Gleason Score was 8 but at time of surgery all contained, clear margins, and 20

It’s NOT neuroendocrine or small cell!!!
Jeff completed 5 rounds of
Docetaxel
(Taxotere). He was given the option to go ahead and complete the 6th infusion, but he decided against it (with his oncologist’s approval). Jeff was put on the oral medication Abiraterone (Zytiga) and Prednisone.

Why can't I get Prostate SBRT when I'm metastatic?
Most recently,
Docetaxel
seemed to be working and PSA dropped from 600 (where it rose to from 9 during Xofigo) to 90 and then leveled off there by the 4th treatment. Alk Phos in normal range. Why won't they go after the Prostate? I'm now thinking about leaving NWM.

Lutetium rechallenge with low dose docetaxel
There was a good response to re-challenge 177Lu-PSMA therapy and low-dose
docetaxel
(Taxol-177Lu-PSMA) with no recorded tumour resistance. Has anyone tried this?

Feet Neuropathy with Docetaxel
I have read the horror stories online about
Docetaxel
foot neuropathy, that once the nerves are stimulated, that the neuropathy could be a lasting side effect even after the
Docetaxel
is stopped.

Most likely radiation schedule
Started on ADT and
docetaxel
. Interim scans show near complete resolution of mets but activity in prostate. Will reevaluate after 6th chemo, but likely course is adding abiraterone or enzalutamide, and radiation to prostate. We are both still working and live by our calendars.

Lu-177 switch from Xofigo. How long an interval?
History: I have stage 4 PCa diagnosed 2.5 years ago and have had
Docetaxel
( 5 sessions), Lupron (continuously), Zytiga ( failed), and now Xofigo( 3 sessions with monthly doubling PSA).

Fatty Acid Synthase [FAS}
Yet prospective studies in patients with prostate cancer have been disappointing to date – the TAXOMET trial, a randomized phase II study of
docetaxel
and metformin versus
docetaxel
and placebo, suggested no benefit by the addition of metformin to
docetaxel
, and the MetAb-Pro trial, a single arm trial

Long delay getting new therapy
I had successful treatment with
docetaxel
plus lupron which reduced my PSA to .5 for 10 months before it began to rise fast. I failed at Abiraterone, and then Xofigo which was just put on hold after 3 infusions ( PSA more than doubled twice with tumor spreading as per MRIs).

Out of Nivolumab/Opdivo Clinical Trial
He started the trial in August, 2020 which also included infusions of
Docetaxel
. His last
Docetaxel
infusion was on December 3rd and he continued with infusions of Opdivo alone every 4 weeks since then. Unfortunately, he suffered from inflammation of his mouth since the start of the trial.

HIGH INITIAL PSA QUESTIONS
I went on
docetaxel
(6 sessions) and Zoladex (for life!!) and my PSA has been steadily dropping to about 1.1 today. So I read about so many of you guys with PSA below 0.5 and changes of that order or less.

Abiraterone+docetaxel+ADT for newly diagnosed metastatic men beats docetaxel+ADT (or abiraterone+ADT)
SOC included
docetaxel
for many of the men. Radiographic progression-free survival increased by 2.5 years (from 2.0 to 4.5 yrs) with addition of abiraterone to
docetaxel
. Time to castration resistance increased by 1.7 yrs (from 1.5 to 3.2 yrs).

Chemo icing
To anyone who has done icing or is doing it now during
Docetaxel
infusions I have some questions. When icing your feet did you ice both the soles and top of the toes or just the soles, the socks have provisions for both.?

Continuing discussion of Adaptive Theory-- Why does early chemotherapy result in lower response rates to Lu-177 and immunotherapy??
Peace I looked at using radiation to the prostate, SOC, SOC plus abiraterone, SOC plus
docetaxel
, and SOC plus
docetaxel
and abiraterone. As many of you are aware, I am a fan of combination therapy.
