My experience with Docetaxel
I know everyone doesn’t respond the same but here is my experience and what I went through with 10 rounds of chemo. Before I started I had already been on Lupron for five years, I had radiation to multiple bone Mets, took zytiga/xtandi, had Provenge and did a clinical trial. October 26 2023 I started

Radiation after Docetaxel
My dad finished chemo
Docetaxel
in November 2023. In December his PSA was .61. In February it jumped to 2.3. He went for a PET scan. He went back to the doctor today his PSA jumped to 6. The scan showed that many of the metastasis in his bones shrunk are almost gone.

Updates to de novo metastatic prostate cancer treatment
Docetaxel
may now be considered in low volume and de novo disease together with an AR pathway inhibitor and radiation therapy indications should be extended not only to low volume but also to high-volume de novo disease? A.

Ra 223 (Xofigo) after Lu 177 (Pluvicto) anyone?
Our MO is questioning the efficacy of Ra 223 as next step after Lu and
Docetaxel
. All hubby's biomarkers suggest he can complete Ra 223 and benefit from it.

PSA Rising and Falling during Chemo
Started with
Docetaxel
until it failed after 7 cycles. Switched to Cabazitaxel and currently on the 5th cycle. Since starting the Cabazitaxil my PSA has been raising and lowering. I am currently having some scans done to confirm if there is progression. What is going on?

What happens next
Since then he has been on Zoladex, Enzalutamide and has just finished 8 rounds of
Docetaxel
. Apart from this cancer he is very healthy - but what happens now when the PSA starts rising again. He is starting to get quite depressed and I have noticed a big change in him. Please advise.

Time to adjust my course, any suggestions?
Another choice would be
docetaxel
. I understand that with increasing PSA the
docetaxel
may be effective. I have never used any chemo drugs. Looking for some wisdom from the clan here as i read every post daily and there is a world of knowledge here.

Looking for Hope
Before Pluvicto he had
Docetaxel
and his PSA rose right after he stopped chemo. He also had target radiation that did nothing either. He did so well for years on Lupron, then Zytiga. I feel like it’s getting more aggressive and we are running out of options.

Is Jevtana easier to tolerate than docetaxel?
My husband has had completed 10 sessions of
docetaxel
. The last three were given with a second dose of Carboplatin. Jevtana is new to us. How is it tolerated? Why can it be given at such a high number of doses?

Targeting the glutamine metabolism to suppress cell proliferation in mesenchymal docetaxel-resistant prostate cancer

Docetaxel
(DX) serves as a palliative treatment option for metastatic prostate cancer (PCa). Despite initial remission, acquired DX resistance is inevitable.

Full circle with this disease
Start 10 rounds of
Docetaxel
and PSA starts dropping again. After first treatment PSA drops to 62 then 17 and then 5. Currently on 4th round and I am very happy that I am responding to
Docetaxel
again. I am planning on doing 10 treatments.

Info about docetaxel
I have been at Stage 4 for 7 1/2 years. and a succession of Xtandi, Nubequa, and Zytega along with Lupron has kept my PSA under two although each has eventually failed (PSA quickly rising above 1.0). My recent blood draw resulted in a jump from 0.78 to 1.29 while I was on the Aberaterone/prednisone protocol

It’s Been A While
In 2023 I went through 8 cycles of
docetaxel
which robbed my body of a lot. Unfortunately,
docetaxel
did not work. Now it has spread to my lymph nodes. Three months after finishing chemo, I went on Pluvicto. A new PSMA-PET shows Pluvicto is working! This is great! But, I have NO life.

Rechallenge Docetaxel - more than 6?
My husband has just finished his rechallenge of
Docetaxel
on 2/29x He did 6 rounds and while things are shrinking it didn’t have the significant change I think they wanted. So his MO at Mayo now wants him to do more chemo until he can no longer tolerate.
