Diuretic

I have a condition called IIH that requires me to have 1000mg of Diamox (diuretic) a day. Since being on this I have suffered from RLS. But without Diamox I would be in hospital in a lot worse pain.

Feeling very very sad : ( I've been prescribed some sort of diuretic tablet and been told to drink lots. However, I've explored on the net and think it might have been brought on by a) the flight b) underactive thyroid (which I have). Anyone else had this problem?

It has been found that lemon water helps liver to carry out all its responsibilities even more effectively since it increases the number of enzymes which detoxify liver, apart from this lemon is known to be diuretic which helps in increasing the rate at which urination happens which ultimately purifies

He prescribed Furosemide as a diuretic to get rid of some of the excess water. This has to be the fastest-acting thing I've ever taken. First dose two and a half hours ago and been six times already! I'm wearing a groove in the carpet from my window seat to the WC.

Then a cardiologist put me on Cardizem for AFIB (which was caused by a diuretic). My migraines decreased and became less painful and some months I have been headache free so continued taking it. I was taking 250 mg. a day, without any obvious side effects.

At the same time as coming off Amiodarone, a diuretic was withdrawn so presumably things could now be a bit more concentrated in my blood. Still on Warfarin and Bisoprolol as well.

Burn, diarrhea, vomit, diuretic, pancreatitis, trauma etc all will lead to less the blood volume, which bring about the acute kidney injury. Kidney disease may lead to acute kidney injury. Some of the kidney diseases start every quickly and cannot be controlled easily.

GP prescribed diuretic which is not having any effect. If anyone has got any suggestions I’d be very grateful.

Of course she may just raise the Ramipril dose or add a diuretic or whatever they do. I would really hate to have to give up grapefruit.

The Doctor did however prescribe a diuretic, blood pressure pills, and some other kind of heart pill because her beats were abnormally fast and skipping some.

She was stable for a while but had another episode of fluid build up after diuretic and is awaiting a kidney biopsy.

When I first started getting the fluid retention my doctor prescribed a fairly potent loop diuretic and provided I take it on a regular daily basis it controls the problem with the legs ankles and feet which return to their usual matchstick appearance but it has only limited, if any, effect in clearing

I have been taking 75 mg levothyroxine at about 6.30 am and then a beta blocker (Bisoprolol) and a diuretic (Bendroflumethiazide) at about 8.00am.

Hydrating with something that isn’t a diuretic would be a great place to start. A nappy might help. Hmmmmm, good point, I think tomorrow morning I’ll have time to trot in to town to top up on Tenna Lady ;-) Vixiej x p.s.
