What dose are you on? For me Digoxin was the only medication that didn’t make me feel worse than the AFib. but only at the lower dose of 62.5. I tried the higher dose and that made me dizzy, breathless and faint.

Thanks for your reply!I’m on 125 mg daily.

Feeling very tired and light- headed.

Big effort to do anything.... I’m usually very active😩

Did you say there’s a smaller dose?

Best wishes again.

Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine!!

Yes it was the lower dose that worked for me 62.5. I was put on the higher dose and not doing well on it and was about to go and stay with a friend and didn’t know if I could get my prescription in time and my friend said her Dad was on digoxin and she would get me some and asked if I was on the same as him 62.5. I immediately asked my GP if I could try the lower dose and they were much better.

Digoxin made me feel spaced out and weepy (I'm definitely not a weepy person). If I'd taken it for much longer than a few weeks I think I'd have been certified as mad! A friend takes it and thinks it's a wonderfully helpful drug.

It's strange how drugs can affect people so differently.

I know eh, my sister was prescribed Digoxin for her SVT, and it works great for her with zero side effects. I also had horrid results with Metoprolol, and many here have had the opposite experience, so ya...seems like most drugs are trial and error.

It saved the day for me while waiting for my ablation for persistent atrial flutter related tachycardia of 155bpm. It was recommended by another person on the forum and my specialist and GP agreed to try it. It worked quickly and caused no side effects at all. My GP said the dose was small so was unlikely to be a problem. If I were you, I would go to see your doctor to have things checked out.

Depends on the dose I have always responded well to digoxin and has helped my PAF very well. I only take 1.25 a day though. Seems to keep things calm. Keep well.

I take 62.5 mcg daily along with many other heart meds and I am not aware of any side effects particularly linked to Digoxin although I am never sure how you work out what side effects are from which drug. I can’t remember when it was first prescribed but I have probably been on it for over 2 years now. Perhaps you could ask for the dose to be reduced to see if that suits you better.

I've been taking .125 mg for 9 months now. I haven't noticed any side effects. I'm in afib 100% of the time but the digoxin keeps things nice and calm and keeps me from feeling the irregular beats.

Not what you're looking for?
