Cocktail of drugs

Just starting taking digoxin along with bisoprolol and perindopril which I was already taking, following my heart going into AF a couple of days ago. I had cardioversion approx 20 months ago. Anyone else taking this cocktail of medicines?

Many do, I used to (Bisoprolol, Digoxin and an anticoagulant). Combinations effect people in different ways, what's goos for you may not be good for someone else.

I don't want to sound too alarmist, but in my case perindopril caused a permanent reduction in kidney function, so perhaps you should discuss this possibility with your doctor.

Hi Lindyloo

I have taken digoxin for 20 years, have had no side effects at all, it was a life saver really, without it I woukd be in ICU every few weeks hooked up. I take extra if my heart ever plays up. I also take Aratac which everyone says don't take that long term, yes I get some reaction to that but it keeps me out of hospital and allows me to live a normal life. Had two ablations which didn't work, so I think me and my tablets are together for a while. Hope this helps I know how scary this dam AF can be but stick with your specialist.
