High ALT and GGT (rarely drink alcohol)
Hi, I've recently had my blood tests results back from my GP and I'm worried about the results fed back. My ALT and GGT were both elevated. ALT at 81 and GGT at 170. I'm a male aged 33 and generally in good health and with very little alcohol consumption (average around two pints of beer a month). This

Fibroscan resuts
I have just had a fibroscan and the results are 5.5 on the fibroscan but 244 on the fatty liver past, which indicates stage1. As a pretty heavy drinker am sure this is down to alcohol Does anyone know what the appropriate action might be. I was already thinking to cut right down and have 3/4 days a week

Dehydrated and tired all the time...
Hi I've been living with cirrhosis for around two and half years now and at the moment seem stable, scoring 7 on child push so just inside criteria for transplant but no need just yet. But I'm constantly feeling dehydrated and even after a good night's sleep (or so I think) I wake up feeling completely

Alcoholic Fatty Liver
I started having right upper abdominal pain about 18 months ago. I have a history of binge drinking of about 10 years. Never drugs not even a Tylenol. In December of 2014 I had blood work done, ultrasound, HIDA scan and a stomach scope with everything coming back normal. So, like any logical person

Fatty liver
Hello, Recently I had a Ultrasound sound scan and full blood count. My results are fatty liver and something raised in my blood that is also to do with my liver. My Doctor asked if I was a big drinker because the raised blood reading is seen in big drinkers and alcoholics. When I said I do not drink

Concerned I Have Liver Problems
So I'm a 23 year old female who has been drinking VERY heavily for the past year, and moderately heavy before that between the ages of 18-22. Depression and toxic company led to me drinking large amounts of liquor pretty often occasion and drinking a bottle of wine or a 6 pack daily. It got to the point

NON-ALCOHOLIC FATTY LIVER DISEASE Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a result of accumulation of fat in the liver and has several causes, including obesity and diabetes. Fatty Liver Disease
I think most Doctors need to be trained in knowing the real symptoms of fatty liver disease and the consequences of the symptoms going unchecked. They say its benign well it might be if the fat content is low like 30 percent but once fatty liver gets severe like I have at 70 percent it can cause all

Spider angioma
Hi all, My husband, who is diagnosed with cirrhosis, has what I think is a spider angioma on his chest. This started bleeding last night after he scratched it, and it took ages to stop the bleeding. Has anybody else experienced this, and does anybody know the best way to stop the bleeding? Many thanks

Liver pain constant
So for the past year it's uncomfortable to sleep on my right side almost feel like I'm laying on a rock. When I push on my right quadrant it feels like it's bruised and wraps around to the back. Would liver pain be constant what does it feel like? When my doctor felt my liver she said it felt fine gallbladder
