GGT a little high
My GGT's were at 68 my AST and ALT are normal but been found to have HCV about 5 years ago waiting on a new treatment but is this something that I should worry to much over. This is a new test GGT and I have been doing lots of blood work over the last 5 years because of my condition.

Advice: can I drink moderately now? GGT/AST
Ok. My GGT was off the radar. Over 600. I was drinking very heavily earlier this year, due tolife issues and lack of responsibility. I have abstained for 4 weeks. GGT is now 140. [should be <50. Was >600] AST is now 42. [should be 40, was 72] 1. I plan to take another month off. It's not that hard

GGT very high - fatty liver
I had my ALT and AST results - 70 for ast, 79 for alp. Doctor wasn't too worried. But the GGT results are 600. I drink heavily. He said I must stop for a month. The Ultrasound showed a fatty liver. He said at least it's not got further. Any advice? I will stop for a month and check but how quickly will

Hi all - looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience. I began having what I think are liver symptoms (Mild itching, fatigue, naseau, RUQ pain) albeit with normal Ultrasound and normal LFT's (Platelets were a little low but have recovered now). I also had fibroscan 6.7 which is a little on the

hemangioma on the liver.
Hi everyone. I have cirrhosis from HCV contracted some forty years ago. I was treated successfully some eighteen years ago. On a routine US scan they found a lump which, after two MRI scans six months apart, turns out to be a rapidly growing hemangioma. I found out that the consultant has referred me

Red flushes and my liver tests, time to stop?
I was quite a heavy drinker in periods over the last 15-20 years up until the end of January this year. Sometimes it was 2-4 times per week, some weeks nothing, sometimes periods of 6-8 weeks or longer without. Generally it was not daily though there were periods of several days in a row. Essentially

Enlarged Liver
Any advice on whether it's possible to have an enlarged, fatty liver but LFT results to be normal? The main thing that is worrying me is the fact the liver is enlarged which to me means there is some kind of problem going on!!!? If my results come back normal should I still insist on a referral to see

High GGT (309), normal ultrasound and fibroscan (3.2kPa), other liver functions normal. Any ideas?
Hi, this is my first post here. I am 38 and had a general health check last november, which found high GGT function. I was referred to gastroenterologist, who ordered ultrasound, fibroscan, and more blood tests. Ultrasound and fibroscan were normal. Still haven't received results of blood tests. I

Are there any male contributors that have taken the potassium sparing diuretic Spironolactone for their liver disease and as a consequence suffered as a side effect very sore as well as developing breasts or as is often described 'male boobs' ? I have been taking this medication for several months and

Hi, Recently I got diagnosed with fatty liver disease. However I do not drink alcohol, and I am most certainly not over weight.
Doctors and specialist have done test and everything yet still can't work out how this has happened.. Can someone advise me with some options.

Ultrasound tomorrow
To check if all my ascites has gone after they drained most of it in April - over 10 litres. Since then I have stopped drinking and followed a low salt diet meticulously. The gastr doc says if I am clear of fluid, I can stop taking the spiro. My stomach is flat, I feel okish...really hope I get a good
