I feel angry and devalued.
Today, in our
dialysis
unit, we have an unusual number of agency nurses. Most of them are are from India.During my session this morning, the nurse looking after me today ( also from India) decided to do a flow test check on me, by hooking me up to a machine that checks the flow rate.

AS the Journey continues
In the last 24 hours, an Albumin infusion should have been administered with
dialysis
support if the patient's blood pressure did not respond.

Back home from hospital
Got released Thursday after
dialysis
and back home by 530 pm. Took forever to get the discharge paperwork, get the IV out and the supplies to change my dressing. I have several follow up appointments and new meds. I med to gain 10-15 pounds and get my strength back.

Peritoneal Dialysis
Do we have to bandage out sites for the duration of having it? I did not like the belt so I use the lanyards for my catheter; they are more comfortable.

Positive results after five months
I think of all of you who are facing and dealing with
dialysis
. My father did - and I dread being in that situation even though I also know that it IS doable. It’s not the end of the world! But today my results show creatinine at 81 umol/L and eGFR at 66. I hope I can keep it there!

Thanks everyone
Brought him back home again yesterday and now all we have to worry about is his kidney function and trying to stave off
dialysis
as long as possible. They are monitoring him closely. The NHS have been brilliant with him.

when to start dialysis
How did people decide when to start
dialysis
and do you feel better now that you are doing it. Would appreciate any advice and sharing. I am 82 years old so transplant is not in my future.

A couple of questions
Hi, I have a couple of questions on
dialysis
. How do you know or what are the symptoms that say it's time to start
dialysis
? Then, what can happen when on
dialysis
? The downside of it. It's pretty easy to find the upside but not a lot on the downside and I'm sure there are some.

Knee and joint pain after dialysis
I am on
dialysis
for 5 yrs now post my first transplant failed. I get knee pain which gets bad immediately after
dialysis
and slows down in 1-2 days. It never goes away completely. I have checked for RA but it is negative. Anybody experienced this? Any solution?

As the specialist rightly put it a transplant followed by ongoing
dialysis
is not a good outcome.

pd dialysis bags
I had an appointment today at my
dialysis
center for labs. They also wanted to prepare us for hurricane season if we lose power . I found it interesting they said if the room temperature where you store your pd
dialysis
bag get above 77 they are no good that bacteria can grow in it.
