Hi I'm looking for a virtual support group for someone starting dialysis. The ones I know about either have mostly transplant recipients (I prefer to have people who are going through dialysis, or about to start), or the meeting is mostly hearing from a speaker rather than people sharing their experience with one another, and hearing how others are dealing with the difficult kidney journey. I appreciate any suggestions. Thank you!

Virtual support group for dialysis patient?

check with your local National; Kidney Foundation or the local in house dialysis center
You can let your dialysis center social worker know you are interested in a support group. Maybe they can organize something?
I just started dialysis in February. I regularly posted on here when I first started I f do I’d post a lot and everyone on here was so nice and answer my questions . There were a few others who started close to me or after and we were chatting a lot there a place to send a chat on here if you click on profile you can message . I am doing pd dialysis I’m more than happy to answer any questions if you want to know about pd dialysis . And I’m sure those doing hemo if you need them will answer you. I don’t do Facebook but I heard there a dialysis forum on there pretty active. You can just post any questions in this dialysis forum and you will get people to answer you .

There are more than a hundred dialysis support groups on Facebook with chats available on tik tok, Twitter, Instagram and more. Just type in "dialysis". I have several. Blessings
