I'm doing a full cortisol
DHEA
test, but it's likely there'll be some issues. Have also probably been hypo for about 10 years.

Cortisol help
I have just started pregnenalone to try and increase my below range
DHEA
, and know this is related to cortisol, but don’t understand the complexities. I forgot to note the date, but think it was around a week before my blood test. Could this artificially increase my blood cortisol?

DHEA v Adrenal Caps
I wanted to know if I changed to
DHEA
what would be the equivalent I would need to take. Is it 25mg or 50mg. Each adrenal cap I take consists of adrenal (bovine) 340mg and 430mg of herbs. I hope it is okay to ask. Health2015

Urgent help please: Getting an NHS GP to agree to blood tests for a private endocrinologist

Testing tomorrow - DHEA interference?
Quick question - I am meant to be having my thyroid tested tomorrow am but took some
DHEA
today and some kelp and wondered if this would change the results too much? Should I wait a day or two and get them done without taking these supplements?

Adrenal testing
Am I right in thinking it must be a 24 hour saliva test that also includes
DHEA
as well? Also, would anyone be prepared to help me interpret the results when I receive them as I doubt I will be able to? My GP does not believe in adrenal insufficiency so can not go to him with them Thank you.

My Story for private endocrinologist - what Qs to ask? 🤔
My cortisol is low in 3 of the 4 points in the day by saliva test and
DHEA
is very low (attached), I sent these results to GP and then had a cortisol blood test at 8am on a random day of my cycle while on HRT. It was normal range.

Androstenedione & Frailty
In the steroidogenesis cascade, andro can be produced from progesterone, or from pregnenolone-->
DHEA
. As such, production is inhibited by Abiraterone (which targets the enzyme that acts on progesterone and pregnenolone.)

Which blood tests are required please?
I know my
DHEA
is below range and my testosterone is at the bottom. My cortisol bloods previously have also been low at 220, and cortisol saliva test a little low but not as dire as the bloods. I just wondered if there are any other blood tests I should request please?

The Book ‘It All Starts With The Egg’
4. my clinic told me not to bother with
DHEA
, but according to the book it’s one of the more important hormones to take with diminished ovarian reserve - what did your clinics say about taking it? 5. did you manage to avoid phthalates and BPA? If so, how?

DHEA supplements - do they affect ovulation?
My question is, coulld it be the
DHEA
and all the anti-oxidants I am taking from “It Starts with the Egg” that potentially messed up my cycle?

Making sense of supplements
Also only just started the audio book for it starts with the egg… only a couple of chapters in so know it will become clearer but she mentions
DHEA
supplements but I can’t seem to find this - any help here? Sorry I’m being a bit impatient but appreciate any advice! Thanks Lisa

cortisol & DHEA results
I got my results back today (attached) My
DHEA
and cortisol are low so I think it’s reasonable for me to ask if I can be tested. Could anyone who is knowledgeable about
DHEA
and cortisol, suggest any other questions i should ask my gp about these results?

#2 Update: Adrenal Testing
