Glucose Tolerance Test on Autoimmune Paleo Diet?
Hi! I'm new here and I need your help. This is the first Thyroid community that I approached to, since no such a strong support exists in my country (Bosnia). I was diagnosed with Hashi and Hypothyroidism in July this year and since then I've been on Letrox 75mg and following Autoimmune Paleo Diet strictly

Lab results, any tips, advice etc is very welcome!
Hi all, Today I visited the endocrinologist. This was the second time I went to this one, after getting stuck with previous internists who only were willing to treat upon TSH and FT4. I I'm on 0.1375 levothyroxine and 4 times a day 5 mcg liotyronine. I still have lots of hypo symptons, most problematic

Been a year+ since I posted, help figure out test results?
So I'm still feeling terrible and know i've hashimoto's despite my tests. A bit of a rundown i've recently been sicker and sicker on gluten and finally decided to take my tests+ celiac since I couldn't tolerate it anymore. I'm a bit let down as my results have betrayed me again. As for my B12 I suspect

My Introduction - elevated psa, unconfirmed prostate cancer
Hi, I'm a 57 year old with unconfirmed prostate cancer. My psa has been elevated for 14 years and recently jumped from 6 to 14 in a 6 month time frame. Since it was over 10, I thought it was time for a biopsy. My DRE was negative so I wasn't too surprised when it came back as negative. From what

Estradiol (estrogen) & Selenium.
New study below [1]. Elizabeth Platz [Johns Hopkins] has been involved in many interesting (to me) PCa studies over the past 3 decades. Including this one. It is an estradiol-selenium study using NHANES III data (National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey), but the context is the possible link

Greetings everyone! I am a new member. You recently assisted me regarding my beloved mother in my post about Congestive Heart Failure (thanks so much). I take care of her and my 91 year old father (they are married 69.5 years!). I have them in their own home being together! I would appreciate your interpretation

Keto and Running - C25k round 2
Anyone out there doing the ketogenic diet (low carb, moderate protein, hight fat)? My husband and I started it to lose weight, and get our health back, and also it is supposed to be a healthy way of eating to maintain my kidney health. Well I did C25k early this year and completed around March/April.

TSH dropped off the scale - <0.05 ?
Hi all, Thank you for your continued support on here - I have now got more test results, requested by a locum GP (who has now left the practice). I was suffering many of the symptoms of underactive thyroid, but the main problem was joint pain and stiffness to the extent that I couldn't walk, the GP

Are You Missing These Steps to Health?
For at least the last 100 years or so many "experts" have had an incomplete understanding of what it takes to greatly improve insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Their advice? Reduce carbs as much as you can stand. It's just common sense, right? If you have too much glucose in your blood, stop eating

Found this article on healthy eating forum so thought I would pass it on
This article ("What Happens if You Eat Raw Onions Every Day"), was published originally on the FoodPrevent.com website. The article explains how eating a raw onion a day can help with certain health conditions (cardiovascular health, type 2 Diabetes, lower cancer risks, etc.). Please see below for more

Aspirin, metformin and propranolol
Below I have copied a letter to the British Medical Journal in 2012 by a Scottish doctor whose name I did not keep. It was a response to an editorial on findings about aspirin and cancer. It may be of interest to some of our correspondents. Re: Aspirin and cancer prevention Reply to BMJ Editorial of
