Before I start, and at the risk of preaching to the knowledgeable, here is a very, very brief primer on the subject of diabetes. Blood sugar control in healthy normal persons and in diabetic persons. Even with insulin medication, why ppbs remains high.
Plasma glucose concentration depends on rate of glucose appearing in circulation ( glucose appearance ) and rate of glucose removal from circulation ( glucose disappearance ). The circulating glucose is derived from three sources-- 1. Intestinal absorption from ingested food. 2. Glycogenolysis 3.

Dr Richard Bernstein - Benefits Of Low Carb High Fat Diet For Diabetics
He is the father of Home testing of sugar levels. Here, he speaks about benefits of Low Carb High Fat diet for treating diabetics. He himself has been living on just 30 grams carbohydrates (in ketogenic range) for decades, much against the misconception that brain needs 100 grams of glucose from CARBS

Artificial sweeteners induce glucose intolerance by altering the gut microbiota?
Looks like the massive consumption of sweeteners needs to be debated. A study published in the journal Nature shows a connection between the use of sweeteners and a higher risk of developing glucose intolerance - when the body does not produce enough insulin - first stage of diabetes . The conclusion

Whey protein could help tackle diabetes!
Consuming whey protein before meals reduces the blood sugar spikes seen after meals. It also improves the body's insulin response. High milk intake has long been associated with lower risk for type2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease . Milk whey protein increases the production of an intestinal hormone

Is this really anxiety?!
Hi everyone. This is my first post, so bear with me! I have suffered with anxiety for around 4 years now. With a combination of CBT and medication I have had it reasonably under control... at least until now. Over the last few months I have had chest pains. These are usually a shooting/stabbing pain

low blood pressure
Hello I am a bit worried about my blood pressure which seems to be dropping over the last 2 months and wondered if anybody else has had this problem or if it is totally unrelated. The readings are really weird because it falls to 96/43, 70/45, 106/41 then because I freak myself out it goes back to normal
