I upped my Prednisilone from 3mg to 10mg , with a boost of
dexamethasone
whilst in hospital. I know I’m not well enough to reduce from 10mg yet but would be grateful for any advice on getting the dose back down quickly when ready .

Dexamethasone Shortage!
My regular pharmacy could not supply my dex refill. They said there was a manufacturers shortage. I finally found a CVS store that had stock to fill a 30 day script. My MO concurred with me that it’s due to dex being used in large doses to mitigate Covid symptoms.

What are Tocilizumab and Sarilumab treatments for COVID?
They are usually given with
dexamethasone
, a steroid that dampens the immune response and cytokine storm. Both drugs are normally given to treat rheumatoid arthritis.

Quest for Lu 177 succeeded
I was given 8 mg of
dexamethasone
to prevent a pain flair syndrome from cytokine release. This does not always happen but if it does it will be at the 24-48 hour mark.

Zytiga and dexamethasone
My husband has been on zytiga and
dexamethasone
since mid August. Lately he has become much angrier and some weight gain. Also it seems like his feet aren’t working as well. Has anyone else seen these symptoms with this drug combination? Thank you in advance.

Suggestions on next step of therapy
My first thought is to try the switch from Prednisone to
Dexamethasone
in an attempt to get some more mileage out of the Zytiga.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) advice for the public: Mythbusters
Is
dexamethasone
a treatment for all COVID-19 patients?
Dexamethasone
should be reserved for patients who need it most. It should not be stockpiled. It provided no improvement for patients with mild symptoms.

Dexamethasone instead of Prednisone for PMR????
So rheumie moved me to .5mg
dexamethasone
replacing prednisone. He said it might help my esophagus stomach etc Then we would go back to prednisone when I can get down to 2 - 1 mg. Has anyone done this or heard of it? I had dexa shots years ago for allergy flares but never this.

Balanitis After Syphilis
I'm an uncircumcised male in my late thirties. Back in July I contracted syphilis which manifested as a lesion on the inside of the foreskin. I got treated with a few shots of penicillin over several weeks and it healed the lesion. However, since then I've been dealing with balanitis - a red spot on

Hypothyroid, coeliac, PMR - my journey to 0 pred
I do wonder whether I needed to be on it for so long but the anaesthetist who advised me on the hip ( no GA, spinal and sedation instead) and who’d given me a large dose of
dexamethasone
during the operation ( incidentally now used for severe Covid) said I shouldn’t lower my pred till some time after

Clodronate. And how to deal with emerging Radiation Induced lumbo-sacral plexopathy?
Treatments that may help to devend against its progression include: Corticosteroids (short term moderate dose like
dexamethasone
5 mg BID); The combination of petaxofylline (trental) with alpha tocopherol Vitamin E at 1,000 IU/day; And perhaps the bisphosphonate clodronate.

DOUBLE CONDTIONS TREATED WITHPRED
I have been put on a 4 day dose of
Dexamethasone
. 40 a Day. Am flying as i habe been on 5 m of prednison for five years controlling both my PMR and keeping my platelets about 30 with no unusual bleeding or symptoms. This drop in platelets happen just as I felt I might be going into PMR remission.

Bladder problems??
After 3 months on Zytiga and Prednisone with no drop in a climbing PSA ( 6.4 in 12/19 to 20.1 on 11/14/20)we elected to try
Dexamethasone

Zytiga with dexamethasone
My husband had to switch from prednisone to
dexamethasone
and Zytiga 3 months ago. The psa has made a steady decline . 9.3 ,4.9,and now 3.6. I’m wondering how others have done on this protocol? And is the fact he’s finally below 4.0 of any significance?

FET - why?! 8dp5dt
I’m on 1200mg progesterone, 6mg progynova, 1mg
dexamethasone
, 80mg aspirin, 40mg Clexane daily. Plus I had filgrastim 3 days before transfer to help it stick and also the intralipid drip on the day of transfer. Also had the endo scratch last month, that is supposed to increase chances.

Happy Last Chemo Day!
He always feels great the first 3 days after chemo because of the
Dexamethasone
they give him before his infusion but about the 4th day he has a chemo crash. This last time he also had a little nausea for about 4 days and that was the first time he ever experienced that.
