I'm new here
Hi I was giagnosed with fibroid years ago as I had heavy periods, had a mirina coil fitted and the periods stopped. Just recently I have been suffering with really bad lower back pain which is not linked to an injury. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to alleviate the pain without drugs? Thank you

Mri safety
I was wondering if there is anyone in this group who had an iud. I had to get off my pills because of a dairy allergy and they have lactose. I’m thinking of an IUD and have looked up Research on if it’s safe in an mri. I am getting conflicting research. I’ll speak with neuro when I have my zoom

Intermittent throbbing pain lower right side.
Comes and goes several times a day, but almost always around the same time at night it will wake Me up and last an hour or so. On and off a few days and then no pain for a week or a few weeks. Always extreme pain, steady but sort of throbbing sharp and cramping into my upper R thigh sometimes too. Never

Horrible pain, again!!
Hey guys I’m sorry for ranting. I’m just reaching my wits end today!! Had my coil put in when I had my surgery about 6 weeks ago. The first two weeks were utter hell, I was in A&E because the cramps were worse than I have ever had them. They then settled down after a couple of weeks. Now I am starting

New Diagnosis, feeling lost
Hello, I was finally officially diagnosed with endometriosis last Tuesday via a laparoscopy. My surgeon said my endometriosis was superficial and he was able to remove and treat well with ablation which is good news I think.. He also mentioned that having my coil (fitted previously) in place will help

Copper Coil
I had the copper coil IUD fitted a few days ago and ever since I’ve had a bad smell down there on and off and a light brown discharge... also I just transitioned from the pill and it was inserted on the last day of my period. What could this be? It’s making me miserable because I don’t know...

Unexplained pain
My daughter has been suffering with pain and heavy bleeding for five years. Her Gynocologist recommended an IUD which helped with the bleeding but the pain is so bad all of the time with spasms. She is 19 now and can’t work. She has pain all of the time not just monthly. She has had laparoscopic surgery

Hi everyone, this is the first time I’ve written on a forum, I just really need some reassurance that the dr is not giving me.
I’ve had my copper coil for almost 10 years now. I’m trying to book it on for removal to start trying for a family, it is really difficult to get it booked in the current COVID situation. My periods have always been heavier and a little painful on the IUD but I’ve kind of gotten used to it! However recently

I had a laparoscopy on the 4th and they inserted a medina coil as well. Although I believe I am healing well my periods are all over the place. My cycle has always been regularly since day one, never late or early and no spotting, before the surgery I had one injection where I had one period after having

Hyterscopy and miruena coil
Hello - like to know your experience of having a hyesterscopy - been told a few paracetamol all that is needed and also fit a miruena coil. Apparently I have Adenomyosis (as well as stage iv endo which I knew about) but wants to exclude womb cancer. Is this true it doesn’t hurt? Also any experiences

High heart rate since mirena iud removal
Has anyone else experienced this? It’s been 2 weeks since I had mine removed and I seem to be having a hard time getting my heart rate to act nice since. I was very well controlled on 25 mg a day of metropolol until this , hardly any pvcs any more ( which is still the case thank goodness) I have increased
