Bruising reduction.
Have extensive dark bruising esp on legs. Am moisturizing arms and legs and just ordered arnica cream. Can I expect a reduction in this awful bruising steroid side effect as I taper down from medrol?? Am currently at 18,5 mgs. Thx.

PMR or Osteo Arthritis?
My consultant is arranging an ultrasound scan of my shoulders and would like me to have an intramuscular injection of
depo
medrone
. She feels this will show whether it is PMR or Osteo arthritis. I have read the side effects of this injection.

ROD HUGHES advice to me
He offered me two options to help me reduce: Option 1. to have an injection of 80ml
Depo
-
medrone
, and two weeks after this to taper to 11mg; two weeks after that to taper to 10mg. Then to stay on 10 mg and observe the PMR symptoms.

How long does a depo-medrone injection last
I had a steroid injection just over 8 weeks ago and feeling fantastic still! I usually only have relief for about 4 weeks, if anything, so does that mean my biologic might actually be working? I’ve been on Benepali since last December (alongside Sulfasalazine) and not seen any real improvement.

Dangers of treatment for mild symptoms
If I understood her correctly the options include local injections and
Depo
Medrone
. The rheumatologist also mentioned the possibility of using a sparing agent with the steroids. So I am faced with the prospect of a “cure” that may be worse than the disease as I am experiencing it at present.

bombing a flare
When excruciating sciatica sent me to the emergency room several years ago, I was administered 20mg of dexamethasone (Decadron) to cut the rampant inflammation, which provided relief within an hour. That was followed by a Medrol pack for the next week and, with exercise, I got over the sciatica. Of course

Fell today. Flare or injury?
Tripped on little area rug and fell today. Landed on LEFT ribcage and upper back hip but 400 mgs Ibuprofen took care of pain. Also may have hurt RIGHT shoulder and upper arm which had already been symptomatic (and I raised medrol dose 5 mgs—didn’t help but doc doesn’t want me to add more.) It hurts

Ocrevus Infusion - First Time
I just completed my initial Ocrevus infusions - 1/2 dosage 15 days apart. Sharing my experience as I had a lot of questions and now I have some of the answers. I recommend taking whatever you need to be comfortable to the infusion center. I carried a bag with a healthy lunch, and mints in case I had

Tachycardia?
As a follow-up to my last post about seasonal allergies and medication, my doctor gave me an injection of Decadron and Depo-Medrol (cortisone) for allergies. A couple days later while doing outdoor chores, I had a tachycardia event, rested, and had three more events in succession, the last lasting 15

Anybody familiar with this complication of radiation therapy? I've been fighting with my left leg for the past 4 months with increasing loss of function. It started as a nightime drawing of my left leg across my body and has now progressed to paralysis of the quad muscles and I am now having to use

From 4 mg of Prednisone to 240mg of Solumedrol.. in 30 hours....
I'm in the hospital contemplating the curses and blessings of prednisone and the whole family of steroids. I have chronic asthma and haven't had a severe asthma attack for 13 years. Who knows maybe all my prednisone was protecting me. I've been tapering slowly and last Wednesday had a routine visit and

Depo v Zoladex?
Hi all, I’m 25 and have both endo & adeno (had my first lap in February). I’ve been on the Depo provera injections for the last six months, which the consultant said should help me by stopping my periods, which it did for a time, but now I’ve been fluctuating between bleeding and spotting for nearly

Atypical PMG and Depo-Medrol
My rheumatologist says that I possibly have atypical PMG. My symptoms at their worst have been relatively minor. In mid-March I had a 120 mg shot of Depo-Medrol. It reduced my symptoms to almost nothing. They have since returned to a slight extent but are very tolerable. The rheumatologist has ordered

I suffer from Anxiety/Panic attacks
Hi I'm new, and I have terrible anxiety/ with a bit of panic that has started up again, it's hard to eat. I have this tightness in my ears that drives me nuts and the only thing I can think of is my 25 mg amitriptyline isn't working anymore. I asked my doctor to increase it 50 mg since I have had it

How quickly did it take depo-medrone steroid injection to work for your Lupus swelling?
I had a
depo
-
medrone
systemic injection for my lupus swelling. I was advised it should take effect 1-2 days, unless I misunderstood. I would be so grateful to know how long this steroid has taken for others to reduce the inflammation.

Fragile skin on lower leg
Hi all, I have had PMR 8 years and am currently on 4/3 mg of Medrol. My skin on my legs from the knee down are very fragile and bruise and cut easily. I wear compression socks which helps but when taking them on and off I still bruise. I currently take 1000 mg of collagen. But I am wondering if there
