ADHD Patch Daytrana
has anyone tried using the
Daytrana
patch? My son who has ADHD and is 10 yo, hates taking any type of meds so was thinking of using this. I let him start school without his meds but typically the teachers will call me to say he’s not focusing or catching on.

Metadate,
Daytrana
, Methylin, Quillivant, Quillichew ER, Ritalin - OMG Janice Rodden! are you OK? do you have a compulsion to assure people that most people don't get side effects from ritalin while minimizing the fact that you're talking about ritalin? My understanding is ~20% experience tics.

Daytrana Patch
Can those using the
Daytrana
patch share their experiences for success? We are on week three of the 15mg. We’ve seen some really good things but this week seems different, more moodiness and defiance in the afternoon about 45 minutes before we’re supposed to take it off.

Inattentive ADD - trying to find right medication - stimulants make her defiant and avoid schoolwork, nonstimulants haven’t been successful
After
daytrana
patch (or adderall XR at a different time) - refuses to do schoolwork, is defiant to me and is rude to her little sister. And then is hyper socially aware and seems insecure when out among her peers. She cried that it’s “hard to make friends” and it breaks my heart.

Tapered off Mirapex about 8 weeks ago, new meds causing morning sedation and anxiety. Do I just have to cope with that?
I also have ADHD and I take the
Daytrana
patch during the day (10mg) and 5mg of Adderall before I even get out of bed, like 6am, just to cut through the morning fog I now have.

He is currently in 15
daytrana
patch. I feel like every year we need to increase. He does amazing on it. But you start seeing things creep up. He is only 7 right now. Will I have to increase every year?

Refusing medication
We attempted to change her medicine to the
Daytrana
patch, since it appears to be just the delivery that's the problem but insurance won't pay for it unless she has failed at several other medications.

Initial Side Effects of Adderall for 5 yr. old?
Just this week we tried him on
Daytrana
(the patch) and he developed a motor tic a few hours in and it was really scary. Tomorrow we are going to try Adderall. Are there any side effects I should watch out for day 1? Will I see a difference within a day or two?

Daytrana patch
Hi fellow Moms on a mission : ) Has anyone out there had experience with the
Daytrana
patch? How long did you use it? My daughter won't swallow pills and our health coverage doesn't cover liquid medicine. She's 12, very petite and concerned the weight loss isn't good for her.

We are in a better place
She continues taking
Daytrana
patches for focus during school, but we are dealing with ADHD outside of school without any meds. She still has anger outbursts however they are few and far between, she is a severe procrastinator and we are working on this day by day.

Daytrana
; Metadate CD 2) Amphetamines (AMP) - Adderall XR; Vyvanse 3) Norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor like Strattera 4) Antidepressant - Bupropion sold under the brand names

Can't find new meds
My insurance company just stopped covering the
Daytrana
patch. Went from $20.00 per month, to $300.00 per month. I can't afford this. For me, the
Daytrana
worked best of all the ADD meds I have tried, and after 30+ years of being treated for adult ADD, I have tried them all.

need advice on these two combos
I wanted to try something other than concerta 36mg since that is a 10-12 hour time release. so he suggested
daytrana
10mg patch but all pharmacy's seem to be on back order! has anyone tried the patch I'm not to sure about it... and we are going to try 5mg cut in half of Lexapro.

Daytrana patch
Anyone have experience with
Daytrana
patch for child? Good or bad experiences? So far I have heard of a few good experiences from people on here. Just looking for any more input. Going to ask my sons psychiatrist to try it in two weeks.

Daytrana patch
From what I’ve read
Daytrana
patch has the smoothest increase and decrease and lasts the longest which is also important.

Anyone had success with this patch for their 6-7 year old and their ADHD impulses? Any bad side effects that lasted?
