Trouble Dealing with End-stage kidney Disease
My
creatine
was a 4.8 when the Drs put me on hemo dialysis instead of 3 days a week I went 6 days a week. At week 29 I had a c section and guess what we both made it.

Supplements. Where are we now?
There was a lot of promotion of Co-enzyme Q10, NAC,
Creatine
, Omega 3, Milk Thistle and lots of others as well. Recently and over a period of time, talk about supplements on this forum and elsewhere seem to be less and less, with just the B vitamins, especially B1, getting some attention.

A new paper strongly linking chronic kidney disease and lowered creatine disposal rate with hypothyroidism & TPOAb
This paper just out in Thyroid shows a strong link between chronic kidney disease and hypothyroidism and TPOAb, leading to a poorer action of disposal of
creatine
by lowered excretion.

I wonder if body builders using creatine get less cancer
Supplementing
creatine
to WT mice significantly suppressed tumor growth in multiple mouse tumor models, and the combination of
creatine
supplementation with a PD-1/PD-L1 blockade treatment showed synergistic tumor suppression efficacy.

Pros and Cons.
(ok that makes 3 questions, sorry) They gave me a blood test to check my
creatine
and that was 43.9 (4.86 - 90.2) which was of no great shock as one of kidneys is out of whack - that's MS related though.

Foamy urine, 24 hr urine shows "urine protein" 0.54 g/d, Urine phosphate 33mmol/d
My
creatine
is 16.6 mmol/d in 24 hr test. Also there was a blood test down on the same day, which shows GFR as 103, Creatinine as umol/L, Albumin as 50.4g/L(indicated as "A"). I don't see anything odd with my body till this moment, like swelling or itching or blood in urine etc.

creatine
level at 138, but my blood pressure was high and I was anemic. So my dr has me on new pressure tablets and iron tablets.
