creatinine 2: Hello warriors, I am a 1.... - Kidney Transplant
creatinine 2
may I know your lowest creatinine shortly after your transplant? what infection symptoms do you have?
lowest was 1.3. my creat keeps fluctuating bt 1.5-1.8. whenever it reaches to 1.8 doc used to prescribe me antibiotics and after taking it for 1week it creat comes to 1.35. and after 1week of so it keeps doing the same.. sometimes i was prescribed to took antibiotics for month. now I am on antibiotics from 2month straight
Hey there. My creatinine did that too after a year or two. It had been less than 1 until it started to creep up. When mine got to 1.9, I had a biopsy done. The doctors couldn't find anything wrong and I basically got the same response you did. We dont know what's going on and did everything.. this was about 4 years ago. Since then, my creatinine has been fluctuating between 1.5-1.7. My primary nephrologist just monitors me and he says as long as its stable and consistent, I'm good. It's going to be almost 9 years soon :). As long as your creatinine maintains the same numbers -below 2, you should he fine. Its after 2+ is where they start thinking of putting you on the list and dialysis later. Drink lots of fluid (preferably 2 liters of alkaline water). Control your red meat intake and exercise
Take care ^^
bacterial and viral infections in the kidney can be found in the kidney biopsy. Have you undergone biopsy? BK virus can raise creatinine. High tacrolimus can raise creatinine.
