Supplements for adrenal support
I’ve been researching supplements for low cortisol / adrenal support and find the whole subject very confusing. Some information suggests that high cortisol is the reason for adrenal fatigue and recommends supplements which are ‘calming’ and lower cortisol. Other sources claim, quite rightly, that

private consult
I went to see the private endocrinologist consultant. He was very much guided by the GP letter. Low cortisol saliva test - I’m going back on Monday morning for private blood tests x3 to rule out a rare pituitary condition. He feels certain i do not have it. Multi nodular goitre - it is visibly larger

Low cortisol: will it improve when I'm on HRT?
I think I just keep asking the same question but in various different ways. 😂 I work term time only and every half term I'm full of optimism about what me and the kids can do and how much I'll get done in the house and inevitably I spend all week on the sofa. It's the same every time. I recognise

AV Nodal Re-Entrant Tachycardia
It seems my SVT wasn't caused by too much
cortisone
in my system prescribed by my GP, but that I have AV Nodal Re-Entrant Tachycardia. He said of the 1,000 or more ablations he's performed, he's only had 3 patients who've developed this. Aren't I the lucky one!!!

Pain Management
Even had a
cortisone
shot in his toe a couple of months ago. But the constant dystonia has taken its toll and he's just hurting all the time. Does anyone have any pain remedies or anything their doctors have suggested that has helped? It's hard to watch him suffer all the time.

Latest Endo visit.... bit weird 😕 When all seems lost just say NO 😉
Started with being told I would have to drop my dose as not happy with TSH 0.05 talked all about this (T4 48% T3 95%) risk of heart and bone damage blah blah..... I pointed out that we had tried that before and it didn't go well for me... threatened to cut me loose if I didn't reduce! Continued to bang

Levothyroxine and cortisol/supplements timing
Hi everyone, finally had an appointment with a private thyroid specialist who has prescribed a starter dose of Levo (75 mcg), which I'll start next week. Have Hashimoto's and currently taking supplements to improve vits etc. I have very low cortisol most of the day (from Regenerus test) so have been

Chemo may be helping
Hi Fellow Fighters, Prior to my third round of Taxotere last Friday, I had blood work done. After 2 rounds, my PSA dropped 4.7 points. TBH, I feel like crap today, but the results are promising. My blood work also showed low cortisol levels, how concerned should I be about that? Thanks.

Endo Legs Nerve Pain
MRIs, Ultrasound,
cortisone
injections nothing showed any problem or made a difference in the case of the injections or treatment. Therefore I now think is likely to be the Endo, however, I have the pain, tingling and numbness all the time, at different levels, worsening during periods.

Use of Corticoide to treat tight foreskin
I went to my doctor today and he prescribed a
cortisone
cream to loosen the skin before we go for circumcision . What are your thoughts about the corticoide cream? Has anyone tried and had good effect with it on loosening the foreskin?

cortisol and oestrogen is there a link?
i’m a complicated case, but curious about hrt and cortisol. Don’t want to bore anyone with full history, in a nutshell. Hashimoto 2018, Graves 2021. Off all meds currently, but six months ago started body identical hrt. My cortisol is now 160 at 9am. Does oestrogen cause low cortisol, or should i get

It's been 9 months of this and I've gone through so many tubes of

Has anyone retested their cortisol levels whilst using adrenal glandular supplements and seen any improvement?
I've been taking adrenal glandular for 4 months, recent serum cortisol shows no improvement than before, is it too soon? Wondering if I should do another saliva cortisol? I feel better for taking it so loathed to stop.... maybe I should give it longer?

Very Scary SVT.
I recently posted on this forum asking if asthma medications (Advair along with a
cortisone
allergy shot) could trigger a-fib, as I had a recent episode of that, and some of you confirmed it. It's notable that I had taken a puff of Advair just 15 minutes before the SVT attack last night.

Thyroid and cortisol results
Hi all, just got results back from latest NHS bloods. Any thoughts? This was primarily to try and 'verify' my private blood test results showing above-range TSH (6.1) and high antibodies. Test was done just before 9am, fasting, currently not on any meds, no biotin week before. I also asked for serum

Dr Conway + Dr Adamson and low cortisol
Hi, I am yet to start treatment for Hashimoto's, and with abysmally low cortisol, am now unsure how to go ahead because it seems as though it makes things more difficult. Has anyone with cortisol issues seen either Dr Georgina Conway (the Thyroid Clinic) or Dr Karen Adamson (endocrinologist in Edinburgh

chronic insomnia for 19 years
Hi I’m new to the sleep forum. Since a stressful event 19 years ago, I wake at 2am every morning from a deep sleep, and it takes a minimum of 3 hours to get back off. I am initially asleep within minutes as am always shattered in an evening. I know all about sleep hygiene and have tried a protein snack

does inflammation return after cortisone?
I had a
cortisone
injection into my shoulder joint last week and I’m concerned that the inflammation that’s been reduced to make me feel a little better will return after the injection wears off. Is this a thing?
