No input from hospital after heart attack and stent fitted.
Hi My Mum had a heart attack last summer and had a stent fitted. She was released from hospital on a Saturday afternoon with little information and has had no input from the hospital since... is this normal? I thought she would have had a follow up or at least a consultation on how to improve her lifestyle

Will I ever feel better?
After a STEMI heart attack in April (Troponin peaked at 92,000), I thought I was doing pretty well. Back at work full-time, exercising, it was all going fine. I’m “only” 50 and have teenage kids who want to do more than I’m able. Previous to the HA I was pretty well, despite having dilated cardiomyopathy

Seeking for morale support from fellow heart stent heroes!
Hello! I’m a 45 year old male had an angioplasty done last august. My road to recovery has been quite an emotional roller coaster ride. I’m seeking to make friends with people of the same condition, to share their day to day struggles and how they keep their motivation up. Sometimes, I feel ashamed and

Life has changed
I woke up 5 days ago worse for wear. I was agitated and couldn’t breathe properly. Two times this struck me. Around 5 am and 7am. The para said we’ll run you in just in case. My heart rhythms were fine but the hospital blood test revealed a heart attack. The angiogram revealed 2 main arteries affected

Researchers find 10-minute add-on heart surgery cuts stroke risk by one-third

Apixaban+Aspirin - v- Clopidogrel
Condition: Atrial Fibrillation + unstable Angina; has bare metal stents; aged 94. Long-term NOAC Apixaban+Aspirin was recommended by hospital Consultant after serious angina attack. Before A+A, prescription was for Clopidogrel+Aspirin. GP stopped A+A and now prescibes only Clopidogrel. How would this

Newbie Guidance Please
Hi everyone. Apologies in advance, but I have tried searching for the answers before posting but I got a little overwhelmed. I had a HA 9 days ago followed by 1 stent being fitted, with maybe another in the next couple of months. I have 3 areas I would value your guidance on: 1. Acid reflux discomfort

Ranexa
I’ve been taking Ranexa. 8 months after a triple bypass I had an “episode” had my grafts checked out all ok. It seems I have a fourth artery that really required bypass or stent but it was decided it was too thin for work. Decided to use meds instead hence Ranexa. Up to the episode I felt great. Travelled
