bypass surgery
Hi, I’ve got my bypass surgery done on 1/12/2020 and it’s some heavy kind of feeling but it doesn’t hurt. I was just wondering if it’s normal or what to do about it. Please do let me know, Thank you.

Want to share experiences.
I had bypass surgery Mar 4th 5 arteries fixed far bigger than surgeon expected. I am having bad pain on the leg that was the donar. Plus having nerve electric feeling saps in both legs. Also had cellulitis on donar leg. Looking to see similar experiences of others. I feel like I am alone out here.

A&E fiasco, palpitations, heart attack, bigeminy beats, back home for dinner.
Hi gang, Just had to put this one down for the historical record. Friday telephone appointment with cardio rehabilitation ( I have never seen anyone since leaving cardiology ward, only phone calls) conversation as normal except I had been having isolated missed heartbeat events, maybe 3 or 4 ocassions

Stent fitted 6 weeks ago , some pain and twinges.
I had a heart attack in bed 6 weeks ago, and the took me direct to theatre identifying my middle artery was blocked. Hey fitted a stent immediately and I was released a few days later. I’ve been doing the exercises and kept up with the walking group with the cardiac rehab physio team, and I think I’m

Statin and liver damage?
I came online to see if anyone had odd liver tests from statins. Specifically atorvastatin. I had to go for an abdominal scan today and had a lot of blood tests, I’m on 40 mg of atorvastatin. And have been on them for nearly a year since I found out I had HD and had a stent last summer. I only had LFT

Atorvastatin and Abnormal Liver Function Tests
Having tried Atorvastatin at 80mg and then 20mg which worked great for my cholesterol levels but both caused abnormal liver function tests which now following a six week lay off without statins have returned to normal. My cholesterol is now back on the high side however with overall being 5.8 with non

How long did it take you to recover after heart bypass surgery?
Hi everyone I had emergency heart bypass surgery about 14 weeks ago. I have spent the “classic” 12 weeks off work, focused on recovery etc. Eating and sleeping is fine, and more or less adjusted to meds ok now. I also do the BHF cardiac rehab level 4 a few times a week, and try to walk about 5 times

Stent fatigue
I had couple stents fitted Sept 2020 , after 1 month I developed a fatigue sympton in arms and legs which I still have 24/7, all blood tests come back clear and cardiologist insists it has nothing to do with medication or stent procedure ; has anyone else had this phenomenon and if so what did they

Hi. Might seem like a stupid question but as I’ve had different responses from range of medics GP to cardio nurse I thought I’d ask here! Brief history - STEMI LAD October 1 stent. Clot in stent 4 hours later. November - ACS - angioplasty and stent RCA. December- angiogram and challenge test - MVD

Pains in chest
Was sitting watching tv last night felt pain in chest when I breath in deeply, and uncomfortable on moving, slightly to the left hand side of chest I can actually put a finger on the point that is painful, it feels like a rib rather than the heart. Had a HA and stent fitted early last May and another

Why at least aren't people who have suffered heart issues in any regard, sent to this forum
This forum has offered me more help and advice from actual survivors from many heart issues... Mine was an LAD stent last June when I was 43.. The youngest in Walsgrave coronary care unit by far at the time. I missed all cardiac rehab due too covid closures, been blue lighted back in 6 times since because

Heart Bypass
My partner had a quadruple bypass on the 12th March. He was home a week later, but since then he’s been having awful pain in his left shoulder and can’t sleep properly for it. Any suggestions?

Should I use GTN spray?
Occasionally I have ‘Pain’ (more like cramp) in left forearm but not in chest. I have recently diagnosed unstable Angina and 1 stent fitted and waiting for #2. Should I use GTN SPRAY?

Telling my car insurer about my recent cardiac arrest.
I went to A&E with chest pains on the 16th of April, where I was whisked to Wythenshawe University Hospital catheter lab, where I arrested and was revived after 8 minutes. A stent and a balloon and I'm fine again - walking, mowing the lawn and light cycling. Apparently I don't need to inform the DVLA

Asking a cardiologist to re-evaluate an angiogram? Possibility of something being overlooked?
I'm posting this to ask if anyone has had to have a second angiogram because the first may have overlooked something or something needs to be clarified? Hopefully the following will make what I mean clear. Apologies for the lengthy post though. In March this year I had a heart attack and after an angiogram
