Just got CPAP
Just received a CPAP this week after several months wait. Tried it the first night using a full mask. Stopped using after 1 hour because of sore throat, sore nasal lining. Too dry! Will try to use on a Friday night with higher humidity setting. My history: major LAD heart attack with complications 23

Can anyone recommend a counsellor following CABG.
I seem to be struggling and it’s been 10 weeks, but I am increasingly anxious. Thank you in advance

Do I need to be checked out
Hi I had an AF episode a week ago and then went into fast Sinus with a heart beat of 140. 6 days later I went into Kings for a routine endoscopy for my 3 yearly verecies check for my liver cirrhosis. My heart was still tackicardic. First they could not get the camera down my throat due to severe swallowing

Train travel
I’m 6 months post 3x CABG and have just done a long train journey to visit my daughters. I’ve recovered so well from the surgery that I thought ‘I can do this’. At Crewe, due to delay with 1st train, I had 4 minutes to catch my next train, no time to wait for the lift, so I legged it up and over the

Energy Drinks post Stent
I had a heart attack in 2016, and a stent fitted the week after. Been on standard meds ever since. I've had no angina, no issues and I train hard in the gym 6 days a week doing both hard cardio and weight training. I can cycle miles with no issues, and train with weights for 3 hours with no issues,

Lipitor
My husband's was prescribed 20mg Lipitor per day following the fitting of a stent. He was informed that whilst his cholesterol was "low" this was required to protect the stent. He has been taking this dose for many years. However, in February he was admitted into hospital suffering from confusion

Is it common to get chest pains with thyroid problems?
I saw a post today from someone who was having chest pain with their thyroid problem and was wondering if my pain could indicate I have the same. I have been in A&E today for the second time in 10 days with ongoing short, sharp pain on the left hand side of my chest with palpitations. Last week they

Irregular Heartbeat
Morning All, I joined this forum for advice on my husband's heart problems however Ithis week i had Doppler tests on my feet and legs (ok as it turned out) but the nurse told me I had very high BP (160/100) and an irregular heartbeat. I heard this too on the Doppler. She advised me to see my GP quickly

2nd night home
My partner is 45 and was told 3 weeks ago that he was suffering from panic attacks after we rushed him to A&E , in the following week the pains got worse so we asked the G.P for a second opinion, the G.P prescribed beta blockers and arranged a phone appointment for next week with a cardiologist, unfortunately

Stomach Problems: Heart medication or late onset IBS?
Hi, Has anybody suffered from stomach cramps, gurgling, bloating and wind as a result of any of the following medicines? Ticagrelor 90mg, Atorvastatin 80mg, Lansoprazole 30mg or dispersible aspirin. I am 7 months into taking medication after my stent and everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago. Now

diet benefits?
Dear all, I thought my story might be of interest to some. 3 yrs ago I collapsed in the gym with some sort of arrhythmia which spontaneously recovered after half an hour. During that episode I never had any chest pain. I was subsequently investigated and by exercise echocardiogram was found to have exercise
