Hello
There is no reason I know why you should not be able to , I would mention it before you go so they are aware especially when it comes to the massage they may just have to be slightly gentler in certain areas x
Thank you
As BeKind28 says - no probs with a massage unless you’re tender in certain areas. Careful if you use any hot tub, sauna or Turkish bath facilities though as they can put a strain on the heart!
I have had bypass surgery and I have a massage every 3 months.NO problems whatsoever.x
Thanks
Consultant said it was OK to go for a massage I had booked 3 days after my first stent was fitted. Just inform them so they don't put too much pressure on the heart area.Biggest problem with massages is that the blood-thinners you will presumably have been put on can cause bruising, even in a normal massage. I was also having Deep Tissue Massage for RSI in my shoulders, but I stopped that after the first session left massive bruises
I have a “deep tissue massage” once a week and it makes a big difference to my mobility and it’s very pleasant too. Highly recommended if you can afford it.
I'm so glad you asked this, I was going to ask the same, my friend bought me a Spa Day for my birthday and wasn't sure if I could go. Enjoy, I will!
