My husband's was prescribed 20mg Lipitor per day following the fitting of a stent. He was informed that whilst his cholesterol was "low" this was required to protect the stent. He has been taking this dose for many years. However, in February he was admitted into hospital suffering from confusion and pneumonia. His Lipitor was increased to 80 mg per day. We have not been advised as to why. Since February he has been extraordinarily tired, dozing for most of the day. A couple of weeks ago I re-read the leaflet from the Lipitor box and tiredness is a side-effect. Therefore, I took it upon myself (due to the fact that he is suffering from overnight memory problems; he was OK one day, went to bed, woke up with is memory a real problem, we are waiting to see a Neurologist) to reduce the dosage to 20mg x 2 per day as we have a supply of his last prescription. Has anyone-else had this experience? Thank you

Yes I have the same experience, earlier i took simvastatin 10mg and it made me tired all day long and my glucose started rising up, than i changed to atorvastatin/lipitor 20mg everything was fine until recently, tiredness came back without logical reasons
