Heart muscle repair

Am I over thinking?
It has been many years since my SAH ruptured suddenly & I had emergency coiling, followed by a stent fitted a year later. Although it was traumatic at the time, for both myself & my family, I have been extremely lucky as I survived the 50/50 prognosis & had no physical limitations. It did take a couple

Very dry skin
Had HA and stent fitted last December. On aspirin, clopidogrel, bisoprolol, ramipril, atovorstatin, pantoprazole. Has anyone experienced very dry skin all over, especially on legs? I am using aqueous cream twice a day but skin keeps flaking off. Would one of these tablets cause this? Lily

HRT after heart attack
I came off HRT at the signs of my heart attack (as the leaflet said to stop with chest pains) and was since told by cardiology team that HRT wasn't the cause, I was just one of the unlucky ones at 49 years old. It has been 8 months since my mild heart attack with one stent fitted and I'm doing OK. I

Cabg issues
Here is an update, my dad was in a coma from december to february. He came home in march but very weak. He was discharged from hospital very unsteady on his feet. He has lost a lot of weight, pains in his leg where the veins were taken, still very unsteady on his feet, cannot get in or out the bath,

Failed CABG
Hi all. So just over two years ago I had a double CABG. I required a graft to my LAD and OM2 artories. Over the last 6 months I have been having some angina-like pains and have just had the results from a cardio CT scan which shows my OM2 graft has failed. However, the cardiologist reckons that this

Scared about being prescribed Clarithomycin for H Pylori
Hi, scared about the situation I am in and would appreciate people's thoughts. I had a stent fitted last December and have had pains in my chest which seem to be stomach related (after a lot of visits to A & E and a gastrocsopy). I had a gastroscopy in February which found I had erosive gastritis.

Please dont ignore Chest Pain and is GP system completely broken?
Saw GP twice last year with chest pain and advised it was muscular or gastric then on 21/1/22 went to AE with chest pain and angio found LAD 90% blocked. Got 1x stent fitted and started on 5 different medications inc Bisoprolol 2.5mg. Eventually got nurse to check bloods today(should have been done after

Lung transplant second opinion update.
Saw the very nice team at the Royal Papworth following the Harefields decision to delist me. Where do i begin? First of all what a place, futuristic, buzzing with energy and you just knew you were in a different league. They haven’t said yes but more importantly not a no either. Bottom line is they

bad news
I had osteoarthritis of the right hip in 2014 and had a full hip replacement with great success. some time after that i began to get back and groin pain and was referred for an MRI. The result was herniated discs and sciatica. I have just recently had another MRI and the result is mild wear and tear,

Raised lump on CABG scar
I have a scar on my left forearm where the radial artery was harvested 17 months ago. Every now and then a “ sort of hive” appears in the exact same spot. It can be itchy but not sore in any way. It will go in a few hours. Has anyone else experienced this ?

Gums and bleeding
Hi. I had a heart attack 5 weeks ago. All fixed now, stent fitted and drugs given. However, my mouth suddenly fills with blood at least 4 times a day? My gums are as white as a sheet. Has anyone else had this experience or know why? I have a dental appointment in a few weeks so I'm hoping for some answers

100% blocked artery
Hi My husband had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and was unable to have a stent put in the artery that was blocked. He is having an MRI scan next week and the cardiologist will see him the week after. He mentioned, in a review letter, that they may perform a staged PCI but that this procedure would be of
