Well consultant phoned told him I was still having twinges plus breathlessness, he didn’t have my notes or my medication so went through it them with him said about feeling like I hit a brick wall when do too much and his said to get thyroid checked, his happy with the way op went and thinks that doing anything with the smaller artery’s the risk outweigh the benefits, so to carry on with medication and his discharge me back to the GP but any problem get referred back, call lasted no more than 10 minutes, so gone from bypass to stent to discharge in 3 months just feel like I’m just one patient off list, can anyone also recommended a good BP monitor thank you

Dear Passes

So sorry to hear that you feel you have been written off by the medical team at your hospital, they will still have a strong link with your GP so don’t worry there.

Its a bit unclear to me exactly what you have had done over the last few years as some of your posts go back a bit and mention stents then.

So have you had more stenting done? And I can see no reference to any conversation about having a bypass or why you were not suitable for that procedure.

I would contact your GP and find out exactly what is going on with your heart, your cardiologist will back up the phone call in writing in which he/she will say why they have discharged you back to your DRs.

You will get a copy of that letter or be able to see it on line if you are set-up to do so.

As for Blood pressure monitors all of them do a good job for monitoring now but I was told that the arm cuff ones were a little more accurate than the wrist ones.

Interesting that your Cardiologist mentioned a thyroid check up, as certainly some heart medication can affect the thyroid { remember that i am not medically trained} and for the sake of a simple blood test maybe an answer to your tiredness.

I think your main area of problem is knowing where you now stand, that is a good question and one to ask your Dr, not over the phone but face to face.

Take care

Thank you for your reply, quick info, HA 2018 with 2 stents fitted, continuous chest pain and breathing difficulties, Mri showed heart disease in few artery so another angiogram with stents due in November 2021 but was halted as thought bypass would be better, after meeting with st Thomas’s was decided no do a stent in LAD which was done two weeks ago.
