IVF#3 (FET round 1): Cancelled
We started our FET at the end of April, for a transfer mid-May. However, this has spectacularly been cancelled and I am feeling really let down by my clinic. Firstly, my blood samples went missing (!?!?!) and then I ended up taking the wrong dose of oestrogen (Progynova) because of their lack of communication

Hyperplasia? + Egg donation?
Hello! I went yesterday to the clinic to have my hysteroscopy post-op thinking (rather foolishly) that it would be straightforward and I could get on with the rest of my life, but alas no. I've now found out that I have hyperplasia (but not atypical) and will need the mirena coil (Oh! The irony!) for

Migraine - menopause - HRT
Aged 51 now, I have been suffering migraine for 2.5 years. I have a Mirena coil so do not have a monthly cycle. I went to see a private Gynae consultant who said she didn't think I was in menopause but offered me Oestrogen gel to try. Before I tried it, I had an appt with my Neurology Consultant

Increasing Metavive Pro Advice. Any suggestions
Hello! I am new here so hope I have posted in the correct place. About 5 years ago I saw an eye wateringly expensive Functional Nutritionist who suggested I take 1 x Metavive Pro (60mg of Porcine). That has worked well alongside Vit b12 and other supplemments for a while. Fast forward to last week.

Lining going down IVF
I’m on my 3rd round of IVF (I have low AMH and endo). And first time on short protocol. My first scan on CD 9 stims day 8 showed my lining at 7.3 and my estrogen was at 2732. Today on CD 11 stims day 10 my lining has gone down to 6.7 but my follicles have grown and now have 5 at 17-19 plus 3 at 14-16

High SGBH levels
Hi I’m wondering if anyone else has experience with this. I have Endo, and pco but not PCOS had lap last March, TTC for 2 years, we got pregnant in Feb, but miscaried. I have had blood tests done and everything is normal except for high SGBH levels, which I’ve read can happen with excess estrogen,

Hashimotos and Menstrual Cycle
Hello everyone, I've been tracking symptoms, meds, supps, along with my monthly cycle for about a year or so. At least for the past four months, I have terrible nausea and increasing hypothyroid symptoms including the "feeling like I got hit by a bus" i.e. widespread pain, muscle aches and fatigue

Does anyone know the work of Dr. Ray Peat?
I have been reading a few articles by RP plus an interview with him by Mary Shomon, and I have to say I am really confused. I must have misunderstood something, but if anyone here is familiar with his work please tell me where I got it wrong: - he seems to say that T4 blocks the action of T3, yet advocates

Just got back from my monthly doctor visit. My research doc was at the American Urologic Association conference. Here is one of the thing he seemed excited about: Veru Advances Novel, First-in-Class Oral Tubulin Inhibitor for Refractory Metastatic Prostate Cancer GlobeNewswire

Modulation of endocrine nuclear receptor activities by polyaromatic compounds present in fractionated extracts of diesel exhaust particles
The Rev. W Awdry might have been all too right with his use of the name "The Diseasel". This paper suggests specific effects of diesel exhaust on thyroid receptor alpha - but needing more research (as always!) Surprisingly, it appears that some constituents enhance the effect of our own T3!

Day One of the rest of my life !
Morning all! At 44 bones were beginning to make me feel 88! Feeling down in the dumps and useless. Now I have just done day one ! Was not as bad as I thought . So pleased with my self. Gotta keep fit for the kids. They say for women our bones deteriorate much more rapidly than men’s. Due to oestrogen

Will HRT worsen my RLS
I am going through the menopause but lately my mood swings are progressively becoming worse. I can hear myself shouting at my poor partner who is brilliant by the way but doesnt deserve my abuse. I am thinking of visiting my gp to consider options but have heard that an increase in oestrogen can worsen
