how long after Chemo finishes do we expect to get scans to see if treatment has worked? Also timescale after chemo will he get radiotherapy
hi all, my husband is currently on round 5 doctaxel and is wondering how long after his last round will it be before he gets scans? We have no indications of treatment working as his PC is non secretive PSA. His PSA was 3 when he was diagnosed with advanced PC and they said it will go down from there

Ultra-sensitive PSA Following Prostatectomy Reliably Identifies Patients Requiring Post-Op Radiotherapy
uPSA Ultra-sensitive PSA Following Prostatectomy Reliably Identifies Patients Requiring Post-Op Radiotherapy Using first postoperative PSA cutoff ≥0.2 ng/mL has only 46% sensitivity to detect failures. If the relapse cutoff is lowered to first postoperative uPSA ≥0.03, sensitivity substantially increased

How to prepare for the Radiation Therapy? Your advise/help are appreciated.
My husband will receive 20 session of radiation therapy which started on 11/3/22. He is drinking 64 oz water every day therefore he is very hydrated. He is doing everything by the “book”, but Today they weren’t able to administer the radiation because he was gassy (took 2 gas x tablet 1 hour before

Bone problems?
Had radiotherapy 16 years ago for anal cancer, am taking calcium and vitamin D as concerned about future hip arthritis, bone breakages. Am 66. Anyone else had experience of thinning bone density? Would like to prevent this. Many thanks.

Ups and downs of screening for a Phase 1 trial
To those of you who are considering drug trials, my advice is to be prepared for ups and downs. My husband is being screened for a Phase 1 trial at the Royal Marsden, UK. Any input/advice please on radiotherapy post immunotherapy?
Hi all. I’m almost at four years now after being diagnosed with Stage 4 NSLC and spine mets in January 2019. Which is brilliant and every day I think how lucky I am! I started off with pemetrexed, carboplatin and pembrolizumab, then moved to maintenance pemetrexed and pembrolizumab, then pembrolizumab

I have been prescribed letrozole after having a cancerous well contained lump removed plus 3 lymph nodes which were clear. Had a weeks radiotherapy which the oncologist said wasn’t essential. Could walk away at this point. Have been on letrozole for about 6 weeks and had a few side effects. 3 weeks
