Elvanse & Concerta XL : Worth persisting?
I switched to
Concerta
XL, same problem. Sweating, dizziness, nausea. I gave up after about 3 days and never returned to the meds. Anyone experienced similar? if so, did you persist? Thanks Mark

What meds do you take for bipolar disorder?
I've recently switched from lamotrigine and ziparasidone (started causing tardive dyskinesia) to valproex acid, Latuda, and
Concerta
(a stimulant). But now I feel nauseated all the time and have lost my optimism, and it's been 4 months trying to make these meds work.

Finally diagnosed, but finding actual treatment feels impossible.
I only graduated high school bc I finally got a psych to consider adhd and let me try
Concerta
(not great, but when it worked it worked). Otherwise my days are decided by my caffeine tolerance. I live in Indiana if anyone knows someone.

Are stimulants suppose to be temporary or lifelong?
When I was on
Concerta
XR I ended up at the highest dosage and it did nothing for me every step of the way. I then got on Adderall 10mg IR and it was amazing for me! I ended up building a tolerance I guess because it went from lasting 6 hours to lasting 3 hours.

How to help my 14yr stop misbehaving during class
He does go to therapy, he takes
concerta
72mg (he is 14yr old, 6ft tall and about 200 lbs) and zoloft 200mg for anxiety. He takes his medicine about 7am and by the end of the day, he doesn't have much medicine left in him, but he refuses to take a booster at school.

14 year old son starting Adderall
He is coming off 36
concerta
, which he has been on since 6th grade. His ADHD has been treated by his pediatrician until yesterday when we had his first psychiatrist appointment. His psychiatrist said that he sees positive benefits with teenagers and adderall.

Using concerts along with natural treatments
We are presently using
concerta
27mg. It has helped with school somewhat but not too much with mood and self regulation at home. Has anyone tried any products like SNAP. Can this be used with
concerta
?

Has anyone continuously increased their dosage for ADHD meds to the max dose & not feel tolerant to it each time? I'm frustrated.
I'm new to this forum, but I have been on
Concerta
and have been increasing the dose. Some doses my APRN kept me on for months after saying I felt no long lasting effects each time I've taken it.

Wondering About Options to Concerta
I've been on
concerta
but I feel like it makes me really tired and does not help at all with my symptoms. Any suggestions on how to address or what to do?

Methylphenidate XR vs Instant
I have received Xaggitin in my prescription for the first time, when up until now have been on
Concerta
XR. On 18mg Concertq XR I felt instant results, but it faded quickly and felt it wore off too soon, considering it was supposed to be working for up to 12 hours. So!

Switching from stimulant to non-stimulant
His doctor said it showed
Concerta
many not be the right medication for him. She mentioned switching to Strattera only. I am nervous to go from a stimulant that he has been taking for 2.5 years to a non-stimulant. Has anyone ever done this?

Concerta 27 mg and Straterra 25 mg
His doctor put him on a combo of
concerta
27mg (He has been taking that since 6th grade after coming down from 36 mg due to side effects.) I've read some promising studies, so I am hopeful. The doc says it will take at least 2 weeks to see any impact.

Switching from ritalin to concerta
I'm kind of nervous to take
concerta
and was wondering if anyone else had done the switch and if you could tell me about how it went! Which medication do you prefer? Are they very different? Thanks!

Switching Stimulants
(He has also tried
Concerta
long acting and was manic) We are pursuing seeing a child psychiatrist for medication management but its a wait to see her...His current neurologist suggested trying Focalin XR 20mg to eliminate some of the doses.
