Elderly Hypothyroid With Dementia in Hospital, Doctors Don't Know What is Wrong! Ideas would be Appreciated
My 95 year old Mum has now been in hospital for 4 days with an infection and UTI, green stuff in the nether regions and thrush. Despite me giving the doctor her endocrinologists letter regarding her taking T3 with levothyroxine and telling him we have to buy it, I was told yesterday that Mum hasn't

B6 injections anyone
Hi I currently take B12 and B1 injections, my Naturopath Dr says I am not absorbing B vitamins well. I'm wondering if I could be B6 deficient also. Does anyone inject B6 and what benefits have you seen.

Bizarre TSH reading after supplementing with 15 mg Iron to raise Ferritin Levels; TSH & Iron labs LOWER
In June, my following labs were as follows: (.75mcg Synthroid/ 2.5mcg T3) no iron supplementation (all B levels were in range, as were D and Folate) Total Iron 121 (45-160) Folate 21.8 (>5.4 normal) Ferritin 33 (20-288) too low/possible cause of hair

Anyone tried Inofolic?
My clinic suggested these... Although I have regular periods, don't have pcos, naturally high amh with no underlying concerns, they recommended I take these to help improve egg quality. I'm 38 btw. Anyone tried these or had any success? The website seems good and theyre also available in some pharmacies

Progress and a bit of fun
I wrote a silly ditty for someone on her quite a while back. Am posting it here now so I can delete from my iPad as iCloud alarmingly getting full and I don't want to pay 70pence - I know - I am that old miser. I am currently on 6 and 5.5 alternate. Slight delay to latest reduction as I fell hard on

Methotrexate and folic acid dose
Hi I've been injecting 15mg of MXT each week for 5 months (shortly increasing to 17.5). I take 5mg folic acid 6 days per week. BUT I've been taking a combined Vit B tablet daily for as long as I can remember (before diagnosis and MXT) and have only just seen that it contains 400ug of folic acid - so

Vitamins and neurology investigations
I've only just resumed taking supplements after a break of a month or two, and did use a
B
complex
for a short time but gave it up as I was feeling jittery and wasn't sure whether the complex was causing it.

Questions regarding cofactors
Considering a
B
complex
and trying to be consistent with my prenatal vitamin each day while breastfeeding. I try to get nutrients from diet first, but it’s likely I miss some or struggle with absorption. Thanks all.
