He said I could increase VitD3 to 2000iu and that a Vit

would be a good idea - I'm also adding in Magnesium and investigating D3 with K2 (any suggestions for good source of these?)

Even the euthyroid have problems
Hello, I am a 64 year old otherwise healthy man seeking to rule out a possible hypothyroid issue. While my test results are within classic parameters (may even be enviable to many on this forum), and I take no meds, I do have thyroid signs and symptoms (elevated cholesterol, elevated creatinine,

When does supplementation become toxic or counter-productive?
Lastly, I was taking a
B

Complex
supplement, but stopped it after finding levels of B6 were very high in a blood test (and I have peripheral neuropathy).

Liver function
I am not a health care person, but I have a little understanding of the liver. It is not like a coffee filter that takes out the bad. It is more like a fine-tuned machine that performs a series of chemical changes resulting in the creation of Glutathione which is a super-antioxidant. This helps eliminate

High B6
I was also taking a Vitamin
B
complex
tablet some days, thinking that my B12 injections might have been causing a B imbalance. I thought any unused B vitamins would be peed out, but that's wrong. I have to drink a lot of water to flush out my excess.

Supplementing with B6 and B complex.
Does taking B6 or a
B
complex
supplements in addition to my eod, injections of B12 help or hinder improvement? Since taking a Thorne
B
complex
, it seems that the hand numbness feels worse at times. Not certain. Thanking you all in advance for your help.

Folate Level 30
I only see the doc again in a week… my thoughts were to stop taking the folic acid tablet and just take my
b
-
complex
which has 0.400mg folic acid in it… or should I stop taking that too for a while?

B1 testing
Hi I was wondering if anyone knows of any UK site that provides provide private blood testing for the B vitamins - B1 in particular? I have looked, but only seem to find ones that test for B12 and B9 only. If not, what do you do if you suspect a B1 deficiency, but the GP is reluctant to run tests

Theories on Stress and B12
Hi all I've seen a few questions on the forum around the relationship between stress and B12. I think this is a very interesting area. On the one hand, B-Vitamins are well-known to support the body during times of stress. In many ways this makes sense because our bodies run on essential vitamins and

I have explored the possibility of b12 absorption issues, as a member suggested a while ago due to my fluctuating levels...spoken to my GP who said to come off my

Latest thyroid bloods & iron panel…
I’ve just got my latest bloods back and this confirms I need to reduce my Levothyroxine. It’s a similar result to last time and shows my T4 to be too high. I was on 150mcg T4 only: TSH: 0.005 Free thyroxine: 33.5 (12-22) Free T3: 5.88 (3.1-6.8] Previous bloods from mid July tell the same story…
