Hi all, just an update. I’m back from my colonoscopy and it looks like it isn’t IBS but IBD. Just waiting for biopsy results to confirm which one. Thank you for your advice to push to see a Dr. It I hadn’t of been such a general menace, I’d probably still be suffering in silence. And to think my Dr

What tests?
I wanted to know if Medicheck test for Chrohn, Coeliac? I am on an exclusion anti inflammatory diet to reduce pain and emptying myself several times a day. I have had surgery to excise endometriosis on and around the bowel, followed by a colonoscopy where they diagnosed and cauterised hemorragic colitis

Ct scan or colonoscopy ???
I am 21 and have really bad bloating for little more of a year now. Where I can only eat small proportions of food before I get super full. My whole life, my digestion system have been normal. Now it seems slow with more constipation and loose stool. My abdomen also looks swollen from the build up. Doctors

Getting there...
Hello lovely people, I thought I would come share a positive post. I have an appointment for my endoscopy and colonoscopy next Wednesday. I'm so relieved I'm going to be able to stop eating wheat/gluten! Nervous about the colonoscopy. Embarrassing or wha. Also the prep sounds awful. The nurse told me

Colonoscopy prep
Hi all, I’ve just started my low residual diet for my scope on Thursday afternoon. I’ve always avoided milk in tea and butter on toast for previous scopes as on the letter, but some instructions say both are fine!? Does anyone know? I’ve been eating dry toast with honey and have chicken & rice for tea

Colonoscopy/anesthesia/Xtandi
Sorry if this is a repeat question. My hubby has started his 14 radiation to bone met in left iliac(hip area) this week. He will also be starting the Xtandi med within the next week or two. Prior to all of this cancer crap, he was scheduled for a colonoscopy. The G.I. Doc said to wait until done with

Prep for Colonoscopy
Hi all I am booked in for colonoscopy in a couple of weeks and I am a bit worried, not only about the procedure but also about the prep you need to take before to ensure the bowel is empty. Here in the UK the prep I have been given is Moviprep, containing lots of ingredients including sodium and potassium

Anyone have issues with thrombosed hemorrhoids? I have a good bit of bleeding maybe once a week. Any remedies? Thanks!
Hi, for the past several years I have battled bleeding rhoids. Had one colonoscopy and two scopes in the last 3 years just to make sure. All clean. The bleeding is significant. Wondering how common this is and if anyone can share a solution and how to heal this problem. Thank you!

Meal recommendations pre colonoscopy?
Hey I have my first colonoscopy on Wednesday for suspected crohns (due to symptoms and thickening of the ilium & bowel inflammation found on MRI) does anyone have any meal recommendations for the 3 days prior? Update: Anesthesia and Xtandi
Has anyone had to be given general anesthesia while taking Xtandi? My hubby will be starting Xtandi probably next week but also has a colonoscopy scheduled for 7/13/21. We have no clue if this is a concern. Will try to contact his oncologist and even the drug manufacturer to get info, but also info from

Good news😀 and not-so-good news😗
Well ladies; had my USS of a do and pelvis and internal and no sign of OC. CA125 blood-test also clear. I was so relieved Not-so-good-news is that my FIT bowel screening came back positive so I have a 2-week referral to the Colorectal services for either an appointment with a specialist or a Colonoscopy

Lactoferrin and ferritin (with a bit of calprotectin thrown in for good measure...)
I have searched but can't see the answer to this question anywhere so I hope I'm not doubling up - if I am, apologies! I had a stools test which came back with elevated levels of calprotectin (150), lactoferrin (46.5) and occult blood. I have been struggling with piles (I think) for some time with blood

Need your opinions about my latest Dr. appointment.
Hi all, I just had a first appointment over the web with a Hepatologist, and I would like your opinion on what he had to say and if I should pursue something else. I had previously been told that I have Nash, stage 2 fibrosis. My mother and her sister both died in their forties of liver cancer and
