Stoma refashion
I have a stoma since birth from hirshprungs that left me with a permenant
colostomy
. I have been told surgery for the stoma 23 years later as it had started retracting in 2014 but nobody would help. My skin has also seperated from the stoma also leaving a large wound.

Once the leg pressure was released the pressure went into my intestinal tract and I ended up with a perforated sigmoid colon that required surgery ending up with a
colostomy
. Also developed a fistula that continues to be an issue.

Stuck!- Now Surviving on an All Clear Liquid Diet.
Hey all, I just wanted to post an update on my personal Colon Cancer Stage 4 journey. Things have taken a very strange and not good turn for me. I truly am very Worried and Concerned about the refusal of local Drs. to put a Stent into my Colon -(they all say I desperately Need!), so that I can go on

Life After Colectomy/Colon Resection Surgery
Hello, Could anyone please share about their experience with a colon resection surgery? Changes in urgency or incontinence or pain? What about eating? Can you eat seeds or nutshell, etc.? How long to heal? Thanks.

Life After Colectomy - Colon Resection
Hello. Can anyone tell me realistically their experience after colectomy- colon resection surgery? I have been offered a left hemicolectomy and want to know what the true recovery is. Surgeons are minimizing the recovery and say once healed you will probably not notice anything. I have a hard time

How morphine affects sedatives when having hospital treatment
I have a
colostomy
and I had to have a colonoscopy this week I was given pethidine. I found the procedure very painful and was told it was because I take morphine for chronic pain. This worries me in case I need emergency treatment where I will need pain management.

acute diverticulitis and impending surgery
Fine had before can live with that.however as this is my 3rd hospital admission surgeon told me to seriously think about a
colostomy
bag, gave me 12 weeks to think. surely discuss after colonoscopy? It's a major operation and a life changing one at that.

Mini pill
(Needing bowel surgery scares me as my mum has a
colostomy
bag). He also re mentioned coil but I worry about that not agreeing and not being able to get it out quickly! Anyway back to pill. For those that have tried noriday, how long did it take to settle?

APeR surgery and colostomy bag
hi I am due for surgery for rectal cancer in which I will need a permanent
colostomy
and possibly rectal excision. Understandably I am struggling to come to terms with diagnosis and surgery needed.

Fallopian tubes tethered to bowel (adhesion post laparoscopy for PID) Is surgery the only option?
Colostomy
bag for life isn’t a great prospect, but neither is infection in my abdomen and Fallopian tubes. Anyone experienced this? Anyone gone down the surgery route? Did anyone’s Fallopian tubes become free and magically return to normal after a period of time? Would love to hear from you!

Help! Decapeptyl injection and HRT?
I have been offered a Decapeptyl 3month injection and HRT, and been told the laparoscopy waiting list is at least 6months+; but there’s a lot of risks for a lap because my bowel is stuck to my womb (been told I could end up with an ileostomy or
colostomy
bag!)
