New to this group
I was diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell Sarcomatoid Carcinoma lung cancer 18 months ago. I've had 6 months of chemo and am now in a holding pattern. My cancer is stable with no new tumors or growth. I get scanned every 3 months. This is a very rare type of cancer. As of today they have no cure and

Long waiting times for lung cancer treatment
Hi guys, Being given a cancer diagnosis is always a devastating blow. Hopefully, they'll catch it in time for you to take advantage of different treatment options such as surgery, radiotherapy or chemotherapy. But what if the waiting list is so long that the treatment becomes less effective? Or

New asthma sufferer. Any advice?
After 6 months of illness and severe coughing fits, I suffered a
collapsed
lung
and spent a week in hospital. I was given seretide 250 and the specialist said she "thinks" I have asthma. That's the closest diagnosis I ever got.

Hi everybody. My dad is 69. Until last year was fit & active. Young for his age you might say. In March 2015, however, he was diagnosed with cancer of the tonsil -it was fairly extensive T3 & had travelled to the lymph nodes. The doctor said "there's nothing here that I can't zap I am sure". If only

Brand new to this, well, sort of - and need help to learn
I was well versed with becotide, ventolin, peak flow meters, theophylline,
collapsed
lobe in the
lung
(yes, that happened) and so on. Yet, as a carer of myself I have a lot to learn.
